Populi is web-based college management software for small colleges with anywhere from 10 to 2500 students.
Users are getting comfortable with the system quickly, and with ease, and the system is allowing us to improve efficiency of our processes in many offices.
The interface for managing permissions is also very clunky and sometimes confusing, requiring double negative logic to understand what a permission is doing.
Reports are easily accessible and customizable. This is such a great feature for the Registration Department as we need accurate statistics immediately.
Once I posted the financial aid of the student, I could not delete it anymore if I happen to make a mistake. I have to make another entry to negate it.
The ability to also customize webpages, email notifications, triggers, courses as needed gave us the power to be more flexible and creative with how we focus our energy and time.
An example of this is syncing Campus Cafe with Canvas LMS- students who withdraw or drop would sometimes sync with Canvas and other times it would not. So there was that inconsistency.

Our work is now more streamlined and time we spend on projects and validation of record accuracy has been cut in half.
Also, Populi's customer service is very impressive - very responsive and professional. They understand very well and resolve your issue very effectively.
Even though, I had some trouble with pulling data previously with customer support we had overcome most of the obstacles.
The cost of Populi is also a great asset because we are a small online non profit institution and having a reasonably priced product really helps us with our small budget.
It does not support competency based learning, and the features in the mobile app are very limited.
Very satisfied and have experienced a great deal of positive and helpful customer support. Really, no walks through a string of phones tree choices to get to someone who can help.
So I had to enter age, gender, address, email etc manually for the each student in the system to be able to have an accurate data. No help offered for an error caused by their own management system.
I think populi did a great job making their interface super easy to access and basic. It was easy to distinguish where the main pages were located.
Once your grade book has been set up, I find that making adjustments at times to be difficult.
