Teams looking for better organization for their teams and projects.
BasicOps is for organizations and teams that want to to combine the best of communication, collaboration and project management into one simple base of operations.
For task management it is a super good tool, it is very complete and the integration with 365 due to being from the same manufacturer makes it one of the most complete and easy on the market.
It does have limits in the enterprise tier we have. The most annoying is that we can't tag team members in the comments of tasks and we can't create sub-tasks within it.
Overall experience has been very good, quite satisfied and my work flow has improved.
I have many small business clients, ran by over-stressed small business owners who only use their phones, and only have time to take in limited amounts of information. This app is useless on mobile.
Microsoft Planner is an excellent benefit of an M365 subscription and the possibilities of its use in conjunction with Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, Outlook and more are huge.
Regarding this app, there are few things I dislike.
Easy to setup, perfect integration with Microsoft tools works perfectly combined with forms and power automate.
It is limited, and i assume as the product develops more and more, the cons i do have will go away.
Love that I can put all my task so I can manage them, love that I can date them and move them based on priority. I also like the projects which we use quite a bit.
There are some lags when adding attachments or simply logging.
The people behind it are enthusiastic and passionate, they want to make something new something better and we see a lot of protentional in it.
Sometimes I miss up the timing with the task as the notification is been sent to mail.
Overall my team is extremly happy with it. As I mentioned above it provided us with the flexibility we needed also the shared space of discutions and notes is something that we love.
I would prefer the option to have pop up alerts when I am tagged in a task. I also don't like that the task disappears when I assign to someone else.
I loved the fact that you can structure the tasks the way you like and after estimation you can see a visual representation in the calendar tab, personally that helps me a lot.
Can be a little difficult to scroll through previous conversations if you don't know where to go.
