We recently upgraded to the Surpass cloud version and have been very happy with the ease of use and the customer service is excellent.
The only problem with being hosted is on our district end. We have problems maintaining our connection to the hosted site when internet traffic is heavy.
I continue to be extremely satisfied with the software, and the support and service I have received through the years has been excellent. I definitely recommend this software.

Biggest problems: reports are frustrating to set up properly, and the ones provided by the company aren't particularly useful for a public library.
Bibliographic information is automatically imported from relevant external database servers. Not only is the searching interface beautiful but also interesting and effective.
So I let the volunteers know, and told them to pay more attention on what they're doing.
Since using Auto Librarian Cloud, I have been so pleased with the excellent customer service. If I ever have any questions or requests, they are very quick to respond and help me.
I have not yet figured out how to generate fines, pay fines and print receipts.

The only difficulty we had was getting the labels to print the way we wanted and interfacing the printer with the program.
I love how easy this is to use and the fact that both students and staff can access their library accounts and keep track of what books they have out and what we have in the library.
Larry S.: My name is Larry. I'm a library volunteer at my organization. I chair the library committee and I would give Surpass a five. We had an earlier version of Surpass and then the pandemic came and the library shut down for almost four years. So this effort the last year has been uploading the new version of Surpass and getting it working. We're a small library. It's very specialized. And when I looked at other organizations that were part of the Surpass network, we matched a lot of them, and the second thing is it was easy for me to teach it to myself with Surpass help and then easy for me to teach it to the volunteers that work with me. I would say it was easy compared to other software's programs that I've implemented. It did take the support of the Surpass help staff, but there was no problems that couldn't be solved quickly. I guess the most important thing, I think, is to feel comfortable calling the help desk. I became on very good terms with the staff at the help desk. I would call up. They picked up immediately and helped me so I didn't face many frustrations. I mean, it was basically very smooth because of the help that the staff gave me.
