I like Mendeley because it is free which is really helping me a lot as a student and user friendly whereby I need not more than 2 hours to get used to it.
One is struck not by only the loss of previous features but also by the annoying bugs in existing features. Type in a search term that is not existent in the database.
The only advantage of using this tool is that it is a well-known tool that is used around the world in the academic world, and is therefore a good alternative for cooperating with teams.
No longer can you sort the list based on flagged citations. No longer can you easily (if at all) simply remove a citation from a group.
It helps with organization, too, because notes are always stored with the document. Great tool for students.
The only problem is that it doesn't support Google Docs.
Mendeley is an amazing low-cost solution for anybody who is looking for a reference manager.
The desktop app logs you out very often and I find it annoying to have to log in every time.
Super easy to use, the UI/UX is CLEAN! it's very very easy to share tabs too which I really like and add team members too.
It opened a page that had no instructions. But, once I opened another tab, it became apparent what it did.
Since I attach great importance to a good and clear design, I particularly like TabExtend and prefer it to the standard browser bookmarks.
That might be difficult, as it is a browser extension, but I guess, nothing is impossible, right.
TabExtend is extending (wow what a creative name^^) the basic functionalities of a tab manager by giving it a better design and UX, plus adding productivity features like task manager/to-do-list.
Your productivity will maximize beyond belief. It seriously stops and deters procrastination.
As a fan of Trello, I love how this organizes my tabs/bookmarks in a kanban style overview. The tool has increased my organization and productivity significantly.
The UX is not always intuitive. I don't like that they remove the "open in a new tab" feature.
Dave C.: Hi, my name is Dave and I'm a director of a design agency. Today I'll be reviewing tabExtend, which I give five out of five stars. For more reviews like this click the link below. Before I was using tabExtend, I used a tab management tool called Toby, which was great, but what I found just its workflow and layout didn't quite align with my needs, so that led me to look into other options. What I love about tabExtend is it's very flexible. It allows you to basically put your bookmarks into columns, and from there you can move each of these items into different sections, or you can even put notes or to do lists in there and use it like a Kanban. So it just really allows you to create this very flexible workspace, and because it's based in your tabs, you can always have access to it very quickly. Getting started is super easy, just pretty much set up the Chrome app and that's it. You can also use it on Brave and I think there's some other browsers as well, but it's just really quick and easy. And then all it is just dragging your items in, or maybe you type new items in and that's it, you're ready to go. So you can get up and running within 10 or 15 minutes. For anyone that's looking to get started with tabExtend, I highly recommend their free plan, which even though it is limited, it still allows you to use pretty much all of the features and without cost. And if you like it, upgrade to the pro plan, which is awesome.
