Instead, it has created constant stress. Another major concern is billing. Rates that were discussed and promised during the sales process are not what we are being charged. When questions come up about these discrepancies, there is no one available to resolve them. When money is involved, the inability to get answers is extremely concerning. We’ve also experienced software issues that affect daily operations, but again, there is no support available to help troubleshoot or fix them. This program is advertised as something that should make life easier for child care providers and staff who are already working hard to care for children. Instead, it has done the opposite. It adds frustration, confusion, and unnecessary stress to an already busy environment. For a company serving child care providers, reliable support should be the bare minimum. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience with Procare. Pros I will say signing up was quick and easy, and communication during the sales process was fast and helpful. Unfortunately, that changed immediately after we became customers. Cons The biggest issue is customer support — or the complete lack of it. Before purchasing, support was responsive and helpful. After signing up, it has been nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone. Calls go unanswered, and emails often receive no response at all. In our case, we have never received a response back to emails asking for help. When you rely on software to manage payments and child care operations, not being able to reach support is unacceptable. The customer support is always amazing. They work on an issue until they get it resolved. Cons The lesson planning area is hard to navigate and a bit clunky to use. When you change an activity it changes all lesson plans for every class in the school. The app allows you to send photos to multiple families at the same time. Cons The app doesn't have a summary feature that lets you update daily reports for more than one student at a time. The app doesn't allow you to attach pictures or documents when sending direct messages to parents. Transfering a student from one classroom to another can easily cause issues in the app. The same student appears in two different classrooms simultaneously. Its been user friendly and our \[sensitive content hidden\] can message us directly in the app which has been nice. Pros I like how it connects to our front check in so i dont have to personally sign kids in or out. This helps both the office and classroom to better keep tabs on who's here and where they are. Cons In the past we had an app that had a page the displayed all the kids and what we entered. So it would list all kids clocked in on the left and the if you put breakfast in gor 1 kid, diaper for 5 kids activity, lunch, am snack, pm snack, nap it would show at the top and a dot in the boxes for who got things put in. Like a chart itvwould show johnny, tommy, sara hot breakfast but no dot by matt, joe, bob meant you didn’t enter another in that category. Activities would have a number so if i entered 5 activities and it showed tommy only did 3 activities i knew i missed him some how and could cirrect it. With procare i have to ho into each child individually and scroll to see what was entered. The other sight had a great concept with the chart. It is a beneficial system to communicate with parents and provide a daily report. There are some places that could use improvement but it is in general it works well for our classroom. Pros I like that it is easy to select activities for children to share with parents and guardians. Parents are easily able to send messages to the classroom as well to let teachers know if they will be late or if their child will not be in attendance that day. As a parent, I enjoy getting the email summary at the end of each day. Cons We have had a number of issues with connectivity. It's not a constant issue but does happen on occasion. As a teacher, I would prefer if there were a few more options when it comes to adding bathroom activities. It defaults to diaper and as a mixed classroom, I would like to be able to set some children to default to potty over diaper. It doesn't appear that the push notifications work well on Android as I have never gotten them for my child or my classroom on my phone but my child's notifications come through in the classroom iPad. It is usually fast response times and efficient advice in the chat feature. The system is easy to use. Teachers are able to communicate easily and send detailed reports to parents to reflect the actions of their child's day. Procare connects teachers and parents together to share evidence of learning. Cons Procare does have trouble connecting at times. Parent app and school system have trouble syncing at times. Children will show as multiples or not show at all. We find that there tends to be a lot of issues with syncing between the desktop version and Procare Connect. I especially don't like how there is so many times where a parent clocks their children out on our kiosk that is synced with the desktop version of Procare but yet it does not show on the teacher's iPads which use Procare Connect so our numbers which is important for ratios are not always matching. Pros As a parent I really enjoy that there is an option to send a message to the Office Chat where only the admin is able to see it and a separate option to send a message to my child's teachers. Cons I am a member of the admin team that uses daily Procare and I absolutely hate how the desktop Procare does not sync with Procare connect. If I input information on the desktop version of Procare especially things like schedule and allergies it does not automatically sync with Procare Connect. I feel it is very redundant that I have to input this information in two places through the same system. We love all of the features that Procare has to offer. The products only weakness is that we can't take credit cards as parents can't be billed for credit card fees directly and this would be too much work for us to deal with. Pros I love all of the features contained in Procare. It easy to use and easy for parents to get information about their child each day from it. Cons I wish parents could use credit cards and get billed directly for credit card processing fees. All we can currently do is to take ACH Transfers. For credit cards we use Square.
