Daycares, child care centers, preschools, before and after school programs, enrichment programs, youth organizations and camps of all sizes and structures.
KidCheck provides secure children's check-in solutions for churches, fitness centers, activity centers and childcare organizations across North America and abroad.
Overall experience with Procare Solutions is positive. Reliable, easy to learn, good tracking of children, tuition, weekly balancing with accounting system, parent friendly.
Now Procare support wants me to replace the router because it maybe causing problems. Cutting my losses at this point.
The functionality to scan QR codes for sign in/sign out is great. I appreciate the ability to have transparent chat functionality between our family and the staff of the daycare center.
It is also missing some niceties such as preprogrammed signatures on emails - when you send them many times a day, it gets frustrating having to type a 3-4 line title each time.
I love that it’s easy to use. The ledger is easy to explain and the tutorial are amazing.
The only con I felt was the missing online registration option. All the details need to be entered manually into the software.
I love the ease of the software, great customer service and compatibility of programs and needs for communication between center and family.
Most f the time its human error not the software.
What I like best about KidCheck is the ease of use for the families in our church that trust us with their children.
Mainly because I got notification that my child was signed out when she most certainly was not. Turns out a parent accidentally entered the wrong mode and was able to batch check all the kids out.
Great for when family members (i.e. grandparents, aunts, uncles) need to pick up. Great way to make sure they're safe and approved.
I am not the main one to create the reports, but when I have to pull one on my own, it is a bit confusing.
Week after week it works seamlessly and connects right through to the printers attached to the check-in stations. This is a huge time-saver and really helps keep the queue at a manageable length.
I remember it was confusing when I registered the first time. I was not sure where to click first and how to add another child.
Kidcheck helped us to set up a safe, secure check-in for our kids' ministry. Their customer support was great.
New family registration can be confusing at times.
Bailey: Hi, I'm Bailey. I am an assistant director in childcare. I would give the Procare system a four out of five rating. And for more reviews, click below. Before using Procare Solutions, I was Brightwheel's to help manage childcare, as well as running reports, doing tuition through it, as well as keeping track of attendance. And it just didn't have nearly the amount of functions that Procare Solutions had. So after doing the trial with Procare, we decided that it was a better fit for us, and it had so much more functions, reports, as well as extensions to use, like getting inside the door. It just had so much more to it than Brightwheel's did. So I went with Procare Solutions because of the reports function, the signing in and out function on the kiosk, as well as the parent connecting app, which was great. They could sign in from their phone. I could set up a geofence where they're in the parking lot and they can sign their kids in, as well as the teacher function for payroll. I could keep their time. I had all of the functions within one system and didn't have to use multiple different platforms to run the center. It was all within Procare. The reports is huge. It lets me know who's on my way list, what their date of birth is, and helps me keep track of all of my inquiries, as well as how many kids I currently have registered. Getting started with Procare, it wasn't challenging. It was just a lot to learn because there's so much within this one platform and system that if you don't know every little side to, it's a lot and it seems like, "Oh my gosh, how do I work this? What am I going to do?" But once you get going and start using it, it is actually really easy, and it's very user-friendly, which is amazing, especially when teaching new staff how to use it, how to register a child, how to teach the parents to use it. Their support is great. They usually get back to you within a few hours, which isn't bad at all. I can also call, and they'll remote in and help support me there. But overall, I haven't had any issues with Procare. It's been easy to learn. They're very hands on and willing to support you within the process of onboarding. And even throughout it, if you have questions even on how to run a report, they're very supportive with that. For anyone considering getting Procare, I would really think about the size of childcare you have. So if you're a large center, a small center, an in-home center, it really would depend on how many features of Procare you would want to use. For a large center, we use quite a few different of their software. So we use the door entry. We use the parent connection app. We use the ledger for payroll. We use it for billing. We use it for registration. So it has so many features where it can go as far as you need it to run a large center with over 200 kiddos, or as small as you want it by just maybe using the parent communication app. So for anyone considering it, I would definitely look into all the features it has because one of the features should work well for you, depending on how small or how large you are.
