Once our dev set up the environment I can, as a data scientist, do my job autonomously. Cons When some job fails it can happen that the logs are absent which can make debugging a bit hard. The way Heroku has implemented 2 Factor Authentication has caused a few problems. I had to rely on someone else sharing their device with me to sign in. You can use webhooks to notify you when jobs start and when they complete (successfully or with an error) which might help. Anyhow, you may want to manage your jobs with config as code instead of manually to minimize this kind of issues.
