Worship teams and other ministries wanting to spend less time on the administrative aspects of leading, and more time on relationships and expanding God's Kingdom.
Expository pastor who preach regularly, church leaders, Seminary and Bible College professors and students, and serious intellectual Christians.
Worshipplanning.com is an excellent product for organizing and planning your worship flow. It has an intuitive interface and outstanding features and functionality.
The admin side is quite confusing in my opinion. Especially switching from user to admin.
The online scheduler is very useful, the file-hosting is great and the integration with CCLI and other popular worship software programs is really well done.
There is no way to chart that on the schedule so that everyone of the team knows, what and where.
Valiant effort, WorshipPlanning. I do sincerely hope that yall can find a nice groove so you can grow your business and help churches.
Unfortunately, it is a little hard to understand for our older, less tech-savvy volunteers.
Everything is consistent. Love the ability to schedule our Praise Team members for different Sunday's they're assigned to sing.
The user interface is clunky and ugly. IT does everything you need it to it just isn't as pretty as some of its competitors.
I love the ease of finding a lot of information about a text quickly on one screen. I also enjoy being about to work across my desktop, tablet, and phone somewhat seamlessly.
The software itself is expensive. Also, the resources are costly; it is almost always cheaper to buy a used commentary from the internet than to buy the same commentary in Logos.
The fact that I can search for a person and it recognizes the pronouns that refer to that person as references is wonderful. It's very intuitive and visually intelligent.
Why would you take a platform like WordSearch away from pastors that are already struggling to find time and energy to prepare with all the added issues of Covid and the chaos in our culture.
I love the great variety of digital resources that are available in the software and for purchase. I love the way the works are all tagged and can be searched.
The only negative thing I would ever say about this software is the cost.
Got the free trial and it's a great way to study the Bible and God himself more deeply, excellent way to compare versions and other books. It's great that you can have that with you on your phone.
The various levels of pricing is confusing. Was able to get in the "ground level" but found it to be missing what I really needed.
Rob: My name is Rob and I am a pastor. I am giving Logos a rating of five out of five. And for more reviews like this, click below. Earlier, I was using a program called BibleWorks, and I found that although BibleWorks had its place, I switched from BibleWorks to use Logos, and I've been very happy with the switch. I decided to switch over to Logos and to make use of Logos because it has an absolutely extensive library of resources for just about any theological or biblical background. The applications within Logos are enormous. There are all kinds of possibilities for everything from sermon planning to journaling, to learning to do in-depth Bible studies on a specific Greek word, to learning for a layperson just to study the Bible better. And so Logos is an extensive and thorough software program that will help any person study the Bible more effectively. So to get started with Logos, to learn to do the most basic features, it doesn't take a whole lot of work. You can start to use it pretty well once it's installed on your computer and you can get the basic functions out of it. What I found, though, was that to get the most out of Logos, it takes a fair bit of effort. And that's only because the program is so extensive. And so there are tutorial videos that a person can use to maximize their understanding. There are seminars that you can even take that will help you really get the absolute most out of the program. And I would say that it's a really good investment of time to take those extra steps to learn the program more effectively, because the more you learn, the more or value you get out of the program and the more effective the program is. So whether you are a seasoned pastor who wants to sharpen and improve your ability to study the Bible and to dig deeper into God's word, or whether you're a layperson who just wants some good tools to read devotionally and to study the Bible more effectively as maybe a lay Bible study leader, or just in private, like personal devotional reading, I highly recommend Logos. There is something for everyone and it will greatly enhance your reading and study of the Bible.
