Orchard Software vs CloudLIMS: Which is a better fit?

The best part of the software for me would be the ease of writing rules to enable you to configure the software to fit your needs.

Not being able to customize our own reports is a little frustrating. I wasn't the administrator who set this up at this laboratory and now I'm stuck with his design unless we pay more.

Since 1997 I have been a strong Orchard advocate. The flexibility it enables us is fantastic.

For example, we choose an accession, there are no results yet, then move on to the next one which is also empty, and then maybe ten below it, there's data to look at.

I've been an Orchard User for 15 years. Love the ease of use and control that I have.

Invoices are generic with absolutely no details even when repeatedly asked to get it itemized. Old mentality customer service by leaving voicemails with no answers instead of emailing responses.

It was a huge decision, and purchasing Orchard Software and everything that comes with it has been a benefit to our laboratory.

Harvest is limited in that it shows thousands of samples are pending, yet it can be only hundreds.

Quick good, the system has great capabilities and there is a support team in the background to help with customization.

There isn't much to criticize. I discovered that learning how to customize CloudLims could be difficult for beginners.

They have great customer service and technical support, ensuring customers feel comfortable and competent to use the application.

Sometimes it can be a bit slow and it is hard to delete samples if they are added by mistake.

Their knowledge, dedication, and commitment to our success makes CloudLIMS an outstanding management system in this highly competitive industry.

I don't need or fully understand a handful of the options. Because there were so many options, I found it difficult to go in and customize forms or presentations, for example.

I am very pleased with the availability of Cloudlims, and I am even happier with the reasonable price. Excellent product it works great for the price you can't beat it.

There are limitations that seems to be low, such as workflow steps (max 25) for example.
