I feel like there is a ton of customization and all the appropriate fields are there. I love the burn down to see if we are on track with our sprint and I also love the kanban board.
Sometimes, the navigation between different tasks and/or sprints can be a bit confusing.
Jira is out of the box free, and it's amazing because it works with everything by the same company. It also allows for easy organization of projects and silos, which intersect with each other.

Training is almost a must if you want anyone to understand how to use it correctly. The performance of Jira in web browsers can be quite poor from time to time.
It has a good API, good integrations, is highly customizable, and is pretty good at tracking features, bugs, and backend tasks.
Sometime it can be very slow when a lot of users using this portal. Or when there is a bug in a new version of jira when we cannot save or update tickets can be very annoying in a production project.
It is very stable and a pleasure to work with. The REST API Developer Guide is very welcome and usefull.
Overall this forced upgrade has been very inconvenient for us.

Before we moved to Salesforce Platform, we used a front-end tool called StayinFront, and we moved from that to Salesforce Platform because StayinFront was unable to be shared with the broader business from a reporting and data access sense. We chose Salesforce Platform because of the ease of customization and the ability, through the permissions, roles, and profiles, to be able to give appropriate data access and information flow to all areas of the business and users that needed it. Bringing Salesforce into the business and going through the build and onboarding process with all of the users was very, very simple. The usability of the platform is really easy for most users to grasp when the functionality is all very intuitive. For anybody out there who's considering moving to Salesforce Platform, I would absolutely recommend it. The customization ability of the platform, the usability of the platform, and the ability to report on any data field within the platform makes it all a really good CRM for being able to track and invest in your customers.
