With extensive experience across public, private, and research institutions, Alexandria's library automation software is used to facilitate learning in some of the best-known districts in the world.
Education market from K-12; but also specialist libraries. Commonly described as "a joy to use", due to its intuitive workflow coupled with its ability to deal with the complexities of organizations.
The other thing I love about Alexandria is their willingness to take the suggestions from the user to improve the operations. I think it is a great program and I hope we always have it in my library.
I find that adding subject headings is a bit confusing. As often as not I end up duplicating terms and I never can figure out why.
I like that the features are user friendly and that there are constant updates from the company to ensure ease of use.
Somewhat disappointing when you compare it to the big companies.
The program is reliable and consistent. I love the organization of it and appreciate the willingness of the company to constantly be making improvements and updates.
We so much rely on internet connectivity to access the library solution. It is frustrating to both staff and patrons when internet is down, as access is not possible.
The thing I really appreciate about Alexandria, other than the fact that it is a great system, is their AMAZING tech support. When I've needed something, they've helped me every step of the way.
Program went offline often. Couldn’t circulate books or use online card catalog.
Our library has been using Access-It Library for the last 4 years and we have found it to be a great product, with prompt and wonderful service.
As a result I need to re-enter a lot of new records. There are no analytics for assessing the use of the system (as opposed to say circulation stats which measure use of the collection).
This Library Management System is very user friendly and attractive. The changing carousel attracts our students and they use it enthusiastically to find resources and be inspired to read.
It cannot print a subset of the search results in the short form. The system cuts out all the time, with both the cloud-based and internal server based product.
It has been interesting to watch how it has grown and developed in response to feedback from the library community. Access-it has helped me manage a greater work load with less hours.
One search is a brilliant feature to offer both students and the staff quick and easy access to reputable websites.
