With extensive experience across public, private, and research institutions, Alexandria's library automation software is used to facilitate learning in some of the best-known districts in the world.
Museums, historical societies, historic homes and hotels, cultural organizations, corporate/brand archives, private/family collections, artists, dealers, collections consultants, and conservators.
The other thing I love about Alexandria is their willingness to take the suggestions from the user to improve the operations. I think it is a great program and I hope we always have it in my library.
I find that adding subject headings is a bit confusing. As often as not I end up duplicating terms and I never can figure out why.
I like that the features are user friendly and that there are constant updates from the company to ensure ease of use.
Somewhat disappointing when you compare it to the big companies.
The program is reliable and consistent. I love the organization of it and appreciate the willingness of the company to constantly be making improvements and updates.
We so much rely on internet connectivity to access the library solution. It is frustrating to both staff and patrons when internet is down, as access is not possible.
The thing I really appreciate about Alexandria, other than the fact that it is a great system, is their AMAZING tech support. When I've needed something, they've helped me every step of the way.
Program went offline often. Couldn’t circulate books or use online card catalog.
We have been extremely pleased with CatalogIt. It is a terrific product with very excellent customer service and support.
Lack of sub-folders within overall general folders.
I am a big fan of good design and this, is good design. Thanks to all the staff who have helped me and my team with our various inquiries.
Some of the profiles have names that are difficult to find through the search feature.
It is easy and straightforward to understand when inputting information, and easy to find records. I love the price point for a comprehensive cataloging system.
This is easily navigated, but may be confusing for a beginning user.
The photo enlargement feature is extremely good. Customer service is beyond outstanding and has always been extremely fast and courteous.
My museum's collection has 15,000+ cataloged object entries, so I suspect that plays a role in the long wait time.
