US based and very helpful. The software i9s good but it is the tech support that really makes it great.
The biggest negative for us is the inability to change customer ID numbers on the fly, and also combine customers (and keeping the dominant customer ID) also during the work day.
I like the fact that I own the software and I don't have to keep renewing a licence. This software is so reliable that we don't need a lot of help or support.
We had a lot of trouble with transfering inventory between locations. Too slow part of the problem was ours but part of it was that we couldn't get it going.
Most importantly the time saved in sending correspondence to customers or vendors has made our jobs easier. We also really like the ability to update product pricing when we receive the products.
When loading new styles into a matrix, you have to scroll down to add things past a certain point which is frustrating.
The email capabilities are very convenient from all departments. The ability to send emails to groups and from preset templates has helped save money in postage and paper.
I'm not sure it is unavoidable with any other software.
My overall experience with Clover is positive and it encourages me to shop more because the rewards are worth it.
So currently still have the units which have been used once. Customer support is beyond terrible in fact arguably the worst I have ever experienced in my life.
Clover is an excellent and good looking choice for a small to medium size business in need of a reliable and cost effective solution. You will be pleased as I have been.
We were being over charged by them and when we addressed the issue, they stopped depositing our transactions. Their effort to "fix" was disastrous.
Love the pricing, very competitive and affordable. Love all the features and ease of use.
HORRIBLE, once I onboarded my merchant who sold the thing to me has not been able to do a single thing for me and always tells me to talk to Clover support.
The mobile POS option is great and has made navigating the Pandemic and Curbside orders much easier. Another feature I and my customers love is the ability to check-in.
Very frustrating experience, customer service department has no idea what to do, managers say things and never do it.
Sable a.: Hello, my name is Sable. I am a salon owner and I'm an independent salon owner of one currently and my rating for Clover is a three star. Prior to Clover, I had a manual system. So it was just me keeping my books and it wasn't working for me because I felt like I wanted to have an online presence and also have a little bit more organization in my business as I want to grow my company more and so Clover was able to help me to begin to systemate my company. I chose Clover because the device was small and compact for my small business space. I also liked the aesthetics of the device matching my decor. The other reason was also, again, because it was suggested to me and it met my needs as I was beginning my company. I also enjoyed Clover and chose it because the device was pretty simple and straightforward straight out the box and the support was actually really excellent. So at first, I guess because I was juggling getting started with Clover, out the package, the device was very easy to set up. The customer support was always there to answer any of my questions. I guess implementing it was where I just needed a little bit more support or help and I need to figure out how it worked for my business. But overall, the setup and getting it in place was very simple and straightforward. It was more like adding the products and inventory and things like that. That took a little bit more time because there is a slight learning curve, but I picked up on it pretty quick. I would recommend a business or salon owner or other companies look into the type of interface that you would like or what you really need your POS system to manage. Clover is kind of like your one-stop shop. So it does have a reward system. It's easy to develop your customer database and organize. You can also put your services or products or for restaurants, food items. So organization is very simple. The one thing I would say to consider is also the software. So how you can integrate maybe online or if you wanted to do more online things like booking or reservations or things like that, just look into what programs you really want to use because there is an app store that they have that you just want to be more familiar with prior to purchasing.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
