Thus far I am nothing but impressed, and I can’t wait to see how our company will be able to use an LMS like LearnUpon in our business. We are so pleased to have chosen such a dedicated vendor.
Whenever I submitted a trouble ticket I usually had a response the same day. The people at LearnUpon made our transition to their LMS problem free.
The customer service is what is really a great sell for Learn upon. Regardless of the question the team is always so happy help and to send over any training material we need.
One frustrating thing with any LMS is integration with authored content (e.g. storyline).
We love the ease of use and the clean UI. It was really simple to jump in and start setting up our portal and when we got hung up they offer tons of resources to help you out.
It is hard to diagnose if this is from our end or LU. I have noticed a few issues where users are enrolled in learning paths or courses and their dashboard will not display the content.
I then came across LearnUpon and was blown away with its ease of use, great features, great personal service, and extremely competitive pricing.
No real dislikes about the software, we use it in an unconventional way in that it is for corporate training and employee compliance.
The support we had with our customer success manager is the best, and she was instrumental in helping us launch and promote the resources.
In the beginning it was a little intimidating learning how to navigate and set up employees.
This product has so many options to offer as it relates to training, compliance. A great LMS tool and the customer service is outstanding.
It is hard to keep the back end organised based on how the system is set up - this makes it very challenging to manage a large employee base. The reporting functionality is very limited.
Flexibility, ability to track your progress, create relevant learning path and nice hands on exercises. Very intuitive and easy to use.
Having to use only a specific browser to operate the product meant that it was difficult for users on different platforms.
I love using skillsoft for training and development and am excited to continue using them.
The courses I have watched were all using flash, so if your device does not support it, that could be a challenge.
Coleen S: Hi, my name's Coleen. I'm the Executive Director of Youth Connections and I give LearnUpon a five out of five. We looked at the Microsoft program, but that would not work because of the people that we work with don't have access to that. We work with a lot of rural communities and also tribal prevention specialists, and so that application would not work for us. We chose LearnUpon based on what we were able to do with it. We're looking at expanding to provide this training nationwide, and our sales rep was amazing at explaining everything and it's been really easy to use and we're really glad we went this route. The setup was amazing. We had a dedicated person, Gray, who was awesome and met with us, I think weekly, to get everything set up. She was always there to answer questions. We basically set up the whole system and then she helped walk us through how to develop all of the training modules, which was very helpful. And now we've been transferred over to our customer service rep and she's been great too, and everybody has been so responsive to any questions. I would definitely recommend LearnUpon. It has been really easy to implement. The support has been amazing. It's very intuitive, it's easy to use. I've got six staff building modules, so it's not like someone has to be really tech-savvy to do it. Very easy to use, easy to get our learners set up on, and it is worked really well for us.
Mike: Hi, my name is Mike. I'm a career advisor. This review is for Skillsoft, which I would rate four out of five stars. For more reviews like this, please click below. Before bringing Skillsoft into our organization, we actually didn't have a formal training and development system in a virtual platform available for our employees and our candidates. So this was basically a revolutionary change for our learning and training and development environment. It was something where we weren't previously capable or understanding of all that a virtual platform would entail, so luckily, Skillsoft made it really easy. The main reason we chose Skillsoft was the library of trainings that were available. We did have employees that spanned all divisions, from technology to accounting, finance, typical business trainings. So having that broad wealth of resources available to us, let us really customize the resources that we were providing our employees for development. So that large library plus the ease of use and setup was definitely the strong selling points of Skillsoft. Getting started with Skillsoft was pretty simple. Relatively intuitive platform, and they have made changes to it over the years, so it's become easier to use as time's gone on. So overall, relatively intuitive, point and click for the most part. Everyone on the back end, within the IT department, said it was relatively easy to get set up within our system and our environment. And the users of Skillsoft have also said that the ease of use of the platform and, really, the ability to train at their leisure is a very open, really interesting, and helpful tool for them. So for someone considering Skillsoft, I would definitely recommend to ensure that there are the trainings and types of videos and topics that you'd be interested in having your employees develop and use. There is a lot on Skillsoft so it's not always the most focused platform, unless you're specifically guiding your employees towards the classes or the trainings that would specifically benefit them in their roles. So I would definitely recommend leveraging Skillsoft, but making sure doing a job analysis for each position to make sure that you're tailoring the specific trainings towards those positions.
