I really like how simple it is to navigate the site and appreciate the links that are available when I need help understanding how to fix something on a claim for resubmission.
Sometimes the insurance denials are hard to decipher what is actually wrong with the claim and i usually have to call in.
Very happy with this program - I am not the daily user of it, but our coder and biller likes it.
Customer relations; their internal processes are slow, cumbersome, and envirocentric. If a mistake is made on their part, they will deny it and take no responsibility for it.
I would really recommend this product, its easy to use and such a great tool to have.
Getting someone to fix the issues was horrible. We would get locked out of account.
The messaging system you can use for issues/questions is usually responded to pretty quickly, reps are nice via telephone also. Easy system, user friendly.
There is no negative review about this software. I do not hear any negative review from my coworkers either.
The system is user friendly and very comprehensive. We are in the implementation stages and these conference has been very helpful in knowing how we need to set up our system.
Nothing in particular, we haven't had any issues. We did try to link it to our billing and scheduling system and were unable do that so that would be a negative.
I love the improvements they're making in the new versions. Their support team is also MUCH improved - their knowledgebase is super easy to navigate and very informative.
We were unable to do paperless files because the software was limited on where we could put information. I needed to keep both paper files and do my notes online in nextgen.
So easy to use we are glad to see so much improvement we are seeing some of the reporting tht is getting better.
They acknowledged that I did notify the company but I notified the "wrong" department.
The difference between that system and HealthFusion is night and day. The ease of use, simplicity, and speed are amazing.
Constantly have to go from keyboard to clicking with the mouse instead of just clicking the "enter" key. May seem trivial but it does interrupt the stream of things.
Carmen: Hello, my name is Carmen. I'm a regional business office director. I rate Waystar a four. And for more reviews like this, click below. We were using Change Healthcare, and Change Healthcare was basically mothballing their system. So at the time, we had to switch to another system for electronic billing and statements. At that point, our team just started looking at other vendors, and the group consensus was that the Waystar product was more user-friendly. It met our needs better. It was better than the Change Healthcare product, we thought, and so we made the switch. It seemed like it was a more user-friendly product overall, not that Change Healthcare was difficult by any stretch, but Waystar seemed very intuitive as far as selecting the various options, whether one needed to go into claims master or to retrieve a patient statement, for example, or find a remit that was out there. So overall, the team, in our selection process and the demonstrations that we saw, we decided to go with that Waystar product. Well, it was a team effort, and we had support from Waystar which was much better than average, I feel. That certainly helped. We had a lot of pre-planning that was done, meetings. Basically, it was during COVID, so it was all done virtually. We actually were able to convert over 200 facilities to the Waystar product over the last two-and-a-half-year period of time. The conversions are now complete, so everyone did switch over. The pre-planning and all those meetings ahead of time certainly helped in the process. Well, I always feel that ease of use for the end user is very key, because ultimately they're the folks that are going to be using the product on a daily basis. Because we have high turnover in our industry, especially when it comes to revenue cycle management in a healthcare setting, you really want to make sure that the product is easy to use, easy to train, easy to set up, and of course, cost-effective as well. Those are the things that I would recommend that someone look for when they're looking to switch an electronic billing system.
Jacque P.: Hi, I'm Jacque, and I'm a medical billing manager for a private medical practice and I give NextGen Healthcare three out of five star rating. We use NextGen Healthcare to do billing for our private practice. With three practitioners, it makes it easy to bill in one set area for all three of them at the same time, to send out claims and get the return EOBs to post to the remits. What I like best about NextGen Healthcare is the fact that it's super simple to use. When training new workers, they catch on easily because it's a very simple format that is laid out perfectly for anybody to just data input and send your claims off to get a return profit. I would have to say what I like least about NextGen Healthcare is the fact that when we need help, it seems to be very hard to get ahold of somebody. We do have a rep, but they have several people that I need to contact and it seems like I'm just being pushed off from one person to the next and when I do speak to somebody about a specific issue, it seems like if they're not very knowledgeable in that field, even though they would be IT, or my rep to get prices quoted, or have a technological issue that needs solved, it just seems very hard to get any issues resolved whatsoever. As well as the price that we were first told, it seemed to change very much throughout our contract, and we just constantly seem to have issues, especially with communication with NextGen Healthcare, unfortunately,
