Perfect way to keep your office computers clean. I like the fact that you can set a time and the computer will go back to the way it was when you started.
I used to run cybercafe and one most critical problem we all cyber-cafe owners faced that corruption of Operating System due to viruses, threats, improper use of system.
It is a great software if you own a cyber or something of the sort because it allows you to turn back time everytime someone makes any kind of changes on the computer.
Managing Deep Freeze with Windows Update can be challenging and frustrating. I've ran into issues where it will continuous restart because it's updating and stuck in frozen mode.
This software is perfect to secure your computers. You can let anyone use the computers that has DeepFreeze and if anything goes wrong, you just have to reboot and you system is back like brand new.
During the time that it is thawed, only tasks for which it was defrosted will be carried out, since during this period it will be vulnerable to the action of viruses, etc.
The ease of use and the ability to interact with machines via the cloud directly with your phone via the app.
I honnestly dont have a lot of cons about this sofware... the only downside is that if you forget to save a file on an external drive, you are gonna loose it on the reboot.
Amazing feature set, top rate security and robustness. Has proven to be the best for our clients security needs.
That goes for several warnings. Some of them are only temporary (missed 2 updates, for example), but they still show up as alerts, even though they have gotten the last 10 updates.
Excellent and very user friendly great addition to the company all staff find very easy to use really pleased.
Sometimes it can be to extreme when blocking, but that's why you pay for it to do.
Overall I am very happy with this product and confident of the protection it provides.
When an install goes wrong it can be difficult to remove and start open.
Excellent as protection highly recommended product, need to improve in reports, information details.
Portal and setup can be confusing with not too much concise and simple documentation.
James M.: My name is James. I'm a technology integration specialist. I work for a university. The staff is approximately 500. A one-to-five rating of Deep Freeze, I would give it a heavy four, almost a five. Not a five, but almost a five. Well, I've been using Deep Freeze for 20 years. When I was first working in the public school system, we were trying to find some way that we could guarantee that the computers would come back to an original state. We had learned about, well, you could have it automatically re-image every evening, and we felt that was a little bit overkill. So, we did some research and came upon Deep Freeze or Faronics. At the time, there was another company out there, but I do not recall the name, that was a similar product. At the time, it was great because it would upon... And again, you can select this option either on upon a reboot or a log-off, it would return back to the original system state that that computer was in. That helped alleviate a lot of issues with individuals, especially in the public school system, going in and making changes and the IT staff having to go back and fix it. Well, the hardest part of Deep Freeze was getting the server enterprise, that piece of software on the server, getting the client onto the machines. At first, when we first had it, it was just a matter of taking the installer around. Okay, that worked perfect. Then we later on learned there's easier ways to push it out. And then eventually, we actually embedded it into the image. So, when our image was in, the client was already installed. Talk with sales. Be very upfront about what you want. Understand that Deep Freeze can lock your computer down a great deal. But again, Deep Freeze has introduced their Igloo feature, which allows you to keep part of your computer thawed. For instance, the user profiles. So, you could kind of compromise with the end user saying, "Okay, we're going to let you keep some things, like you can change your desktop, but we're going to lock down the system." Again, be upfront with what you want to accomplish, listen to the sales and technical experts, and finally, think about whether you want this to be a cloud application management solution or whether you're going to manage it yourself through a local server.
David: My name's David. I'm a pastor. Today we'll be reviewing Intercept X Endpoint, and I give it five stars. And for more reviews like this, click below. Before Intercept, we have about 30 or 35 work stations. It fluctuates here on our network. We're managing those individually. And you can imagine what a headache that would be. Intercept X Endpoint has allowed us to have secure work stations all over our campus, and one management point. That's huge. It saves me a lot of steps and a lot of pain and heartaches. Intercept X Endpoint was our choice. First of all because Sophos has such a great record and I've used Sophos for years. Their track record is great on protection. Intercept X Endpoint has user management, individual workstation management. I can see what's going on, on all those computers from one console. The console's great. That's the lifesaver of this thing. That's the biggest thing about our choice with that is the console and the console detail that it provides. Rolling it out to the organization, at times it's had challenges. More challenges that we had individually or internally than those that Intercept gave us. The help engine for Intercept is a little hard to navigate at times, the online help. But once you get into the groove of doing it, figure it out pretty quick and you can get it done. But considering Intercept X Endpoint, the recommendations that I would have would be evaluate your need. Intercept X Endpoint is not expensive when you look at the benefit that you receive, but you need to evaluate your need level. And that would, of course, dictate the level of protection that you license. Sophos has got such a great track record in history of virus protection and malware. I mean, you name it, they protect against it. They got hardware available that's outside of Intercept X Endpoint. It's a great organization. They will protect you. That's the things that I look for when I was evaluating these. Who can I rely on? Who will get the job done? Intercept X Endpoint gets it done.
