HeavyBid vs WinEx: Which is a better fit?

Invest into spending the time to explore the capabilities of the software and take advantage of the amazing support that is offered.

Can be a bit buggy when within an activity, which may force it to crash. This is primarily because of user error though and you learn ways to stop this from happening.

The best I like is you can create your company database with all the cost and production rate and it's easy to pull those data to your estimate. Vendor support to is the best.

Some of the character limitations are ridiculous and entering bid prices for comparison is not as intuitive as it could be.

What I like best about this product is the many ways that you can get the same result. I also like that you can customize almost every report to give you what you are looking for.

If you do not have experience using the software, you are lost. Even experienced users such as myself wouldn't mind a friendlier experience.

So far it has been user friendly for most of the basics and the help hotline has been great.

Only 3 are allowed as compared to other competing softwares. Also the reports are limited in what is shown.

I love the customer service and the constant updates that continually improve the product. It's very easy to use and has excellent graphics to check your work.

Too many processing errors. They just can't seem to get topsoil re-spread to calculate correctly.

Having confidence in our take-off's allowed us to go to the client with this project savings and ultimately helped us win the bid. The technical support has been an incredible help.

Just give a license key number to enter, reducing the need to have usb port taken up or risk of key damage.

I have won large earthwork projects that I can confidently say I would not have gotten without the detailed takeoff I was able to do with WinEx Master from ROCTEK. Customer support is also flawless.

If you don't, you will be lost, unlike other software I have used.

The visualizations are high quality and very detailed, making it a very effective tool to explain a take-off to others. The program is easy to manipulate to allow "what if" scenarios.

I recently used the program for a proposal on a project with several sites and a wide range of scopes of work. The client had provided quantity take-offs for cut and fill and import materials.
