Ideal for law firms with up to 50 timekeepers, ProLaw helps legal staff manage and maintain client records, litigation history, cases/documents, billing operations, and more.
Law firms, legal professionals, attorneys, and legal service providers.
I have used Prolaw for over 20 years. In the beginning (pre-West), it was the most amazing product on the market with the most amazing customer service, for small to mid-sized firms.
You are limited on how to set up your folders. If you practice more than one area of law, the lack of customization is very restricting.
Easy to use and functionality is superb. The interface is easy to read, making it easy to use.
Overall software is an utter shambles of committee designed modules that integrate poorly, bugs and errors are numerous and fixes take forever.
I like that the addresses and CMS were easily used to mail merge and to do newsletters. The invoicing was also super easy to use and you are able to capture billable time easily.
I used ProLaw when I worked for a real estate firm for foreclosure litigation. It did the job, just not as efficient as other programs.
They share an enthusiasm for the vision and work hard to deliver the best product possible. They always go out of their way to help achieve customer goals.
Training - The online courses have terrible moderators.
We have been using Leap for over two years and have been very impressed with its features. It takes care of our needs in our law firm and is super easy to use.
Revising bills after pre-billing is difficult and not intuitive. Applying retainers at the time of billing and having the bill show the retainer applied to that bill does not work.
Its impressive user friendliness and visually simplistic feel brings the fun back to handling a case. We have found the system flawless since the going live around 15 months ago.
When information was transferred from our previous TimeMatters software, it was garbage. Not usable and so incomplete it makes no sense.
The software is comprehensive and fairly easy to use, but at the same time being powerful and incredibly useful. The interface and ease of use is very important.
Company is awful to deal with and appear only concerned with money.
The mobile app version is fantastic which has the ability to drop documents and pictures on the go into files. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
They fail to tell you that depending on your computer, their software may be useless. I have a 1 yr old mac and a brand new Microsoft Surface Pro.
Kris M.: My name is Kris. I am a learning and development specialist and systems admin for Jacuzzi Bath Remodel. We are a small to medium company and I would give LEAP a five out of five. Before LEAP, we used a combination of about six different apps and manual processes, and really it didn't work because it was difficult to train as well as to maintain on the back end. I chose LEAP because it allowed us to integrate all of our functionality into one app, and it was fairly easy for me without a systems background to learn to develop LEAP. Getting started with LEAP was a little bit challenging because I took over for someone else and so I wasn't learning from the ground up, but I had a lot of support, which made it really easy in the long run. Advice? Learn to understand placeholders immediately and get very cozy asking questions with your support staff.
