The teams that help us set up Xactly and maintain it are very helpful. We are especially happy with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] help and staying on top of any issues we might have.
It was painful to use, setup and customize and the reporting was really hard to read.
The support during implementation and after implementation is great. I also like the ease of use of the software for both administrators and end users.
Difficult logic is something that takes too much time sometimes to work through with external support. There is also no commission rate reporting.
Overall, I'd recommend this tool for a small company. I love the accurate commission and draw calculations, the roll ups and, eventually, I will love Analytics, too.
Implementation is a mess. Everytime we have done an SOW, there is inevitably a change order and something that doesn't get done properly.
Our plans are complicated but with a few years under our belt, we are very pleased with Incent. The accuracy is of utmost importance to us, and we appreciate the reliability and accuracy.

Prior to using Xactly Incent, my employer was using some sort of a homemade solution that pulled directly from our orders database. Unfortunately, it did not work. It couldn't handle the complexity of our commission schemes and calculations. So like many people in my field over the years, we were calculating our commissions every month, every quarter in Excel spreadsheets. This of course made for very difficult communication with employees. It was very hard to tell them why they were being paid what they were being paid. It opened up the door for a lot of human error and of course, archiving and keeping track of historical payments was not secure and not systematized at all. We chose Xactly Incent because it has a reputation in the industry as really the leading emissions processing software, but also we were extremely impressed with the functionality. But more than that, it was the customer support that came along with it. We felt that when we implemented Xactly support, we wouldn't be left on our own, but we' have Xactly with us to be able to resolve any issues that we ran into along the way. Bringing Xactly into our organization was a significant undertaking. There has to be a very rigorous and detailed process of configuring the system to fit our organization's needs, our particular commission plans, the way we've set up our sales channels, et cetera. And then the software itself has to be rigorously tested to make sure that when we roll it out, it's actually working and functioning properly. So there is a significant investment of time. There is a learning curve to be able to understand how Xactly Incent operates and how you would fit that and make that the centerpiece of your regular commission processes. But I will say that the team at Xactly is very supportive throughout this process. I felt like their testing and design processes are very effective. They communicate well. They let you know Xactly what it is you need to provide. And so having been a part of four different Xactly launches in my history, I've seen all of them be successful. My advice and recommendation would be that you would seriously consider Xactly Incent for your organization. I recognize that if like me, you were reliant upon spreadsheets or homemade systems in the past, it may seem daunting to implement such a large system, but I believe that this is just the way the business environment is going in the future. We need to have these kinds of systems in place to be able to manage the large amount of data that we now have to deal with on a daily basis in the field of commissions processing. And again, I would reiterate that the customer support solutions that they provide after implementation are excellent, and you should factor that into your decision making process as well.
