My overall experience it great. It is an asset to our company, helping with scheduling, coordination, and production.
The only thing I can say negative is when writing a comment on my report, the font size automatically go’s to size 16 which I find rather small. I generally use size 30 which is more ledgible.
Easy to use, awesome interface and a awesome tool to track the progress and billing on any job site.
Errors in reading sheet titles for uploaded drawing sets.
The ability to have access to all the information supplied to the team, with the ease of access from mobile devices. Its almost better than having the actual paper version.
The most difficult thing to do in Fieldwire is to make handwritten notes or draw sketches on a plan using the pencil/drawing tool. The tool is extremely choppy.
Their customer service is friendly and helpful to deal with. If you are in construction management I would give them a try and see if you like it.
Fieldwire also has no text search function, which is another basic feature of any other software I've used.
It truly is the best software out there that exists for the specific application. The project specific communication is the best out there.
You pay an exorbitant amount per project, and still get less features than other programs like Builder Trend. It’s clunky, poorly laid out, and the customer service is terrible.
Overall, great software for a much lower price point than all the competitors. If you are a smaller company, like mine, and you have a tight budget, this is great, functional software.
Circular dependencies are by far the worst problem.
Our clients constantly tell us how easy it is to use and its a selling feature for us. Estimating is super easy and then over the the budget sheet to see how you are tracking with your profits.
The Mobile app is severely lacking. The crew is primarily on the ground and trying to conduct a lot of business on-the-go.
It's a great product, and the customer support helping with the implementation has been exactly what we would have expected from a great company.
Started out well, but got worse and worse as time went on. Could never get straight answers from customer service.
Marcellous W.: Hi, my name is Marcellous. I'm an HR and safety manager, and I rate Fieldwire five out of five. For more information, click below. Before we started using Fieldwire, we didn't have anything that we were using. It was more ball, pen and paper, trying to track daily production and whatnot, mostly text messages, and that's just not the way to do things. Some of the reasons why we chose Fieldwire, one was the price point on this, which was definitely in our budget. We liked it because we can scan in system prints or any kind of schematic showing the scope of work that we were working on. And then you can digitally track it, kind of like an as-built, so you can see where you're at and where you need to finish. And then, once the job is complete, you can still store it there or archive it there, if later on that you need to reference it for anything. That was another good tool to have. As far as getting Fieldwire up and running, it's pretty user-friendly. I mean, it's just a matter of a couple of clicks. You log in and you go to that particular project that you need to view, and there it is. If you need to create a new project, I mean, it's very, user-friendly. Click a button here, type in what you want to call that project, and off you go. Pretty user friendly. I would recommend. The mobility of this app is very good. In the field of construction that I'm in, when you're out in the field and you're looking at the scope of work for this particular project that you're working on, you can follow, stream right along on the app. As well as if you need to take specific photos of something that's on the project, say, a hazard or damage or something, you can store it right in the project on the app, and not on your phone or on your tablet, which is really good. If you need to reference any of those photos, you can go right to that particular project and they're there, and they'll stay there until you delete them. So, those are some of the features that I like, the reason why I would recommend someone to it.
Denise L.: Hi. I'm Denise. I am a director of finance with a small construction company on the Mississippi Coast. I have been using CoConstruct for about seven months, and I give it a three out of five stars. We were using more of an Excel spreadsheet type format before we started with CoConstruct. There are some other trial programs they used prior to my arrival here at the company, and we have since switched from CoConstruct to a different company to do our project management. We chose CoConstruct because it is one of the industry standards. It does help us track the jobs as well as communicate with our clients, keep in touch with our vendors, and it also helps support the project manager in the day-to-day job logs and tasks that needed to be done as well as scheduling. The onboarding process with CoConstruct was a little cumbersome. We had to pay a fee for four different courses with a trainer that was extra in addition to what we were already paying a month and that... If we didn't know what we were doing, it was difficult. We wound up going through courses throughout the months, and we're in month seven. We still haven't touched half of what the capabilities are in CoConstruct. It was a little bit difficult. I recommend you think twice about using CoConstruct at this point. From the company itself, I've been informed that there will be no more future updates to the software. So my concern with that was it integrates with QuickBooks. If QuickBooks has an update or it has something that changes, will it work with CoConstruct? That's definitely something to keep in mind for future users. The other thing is the price point is going up, and compared to other software, I'm not sure that it's worth that same amount.
