The platform offered genuine strengths in ease of setup, organized reporting, and timely payroll processing. However, unresolved issues with vacation time accrual rollover — despite repeated escalations and a missed support deadline — ultimately undermined our trust in the system. After exhausting available support options without a satisfactory resolution, we made the difficult decision to terminate the contract. While UKG Pro has capable features, the gap between what was promised and what was delivered on the support side was a determining factor in our departure. Pros The timekeeping setup was straightforward and easy to implement, allowing our team to get up and running quickly with minimal disruption. Reporting and analytics were also a strong point — reports were well-organized and provided the visibility we needed to manage payroll and scheduling effectively. Additionally, the payroll processing was reliable and deadlines were consistently met on time. Cons The most significant frustration was with customer support. Vacation time rollover functionality did not work as promised, and despite assurances that the issue would be resolved by a committed deadline, the problem persisted well beyond that date. The lack of follow-through on a confirmed resolution was a serious concern that impacted our confidence in the platform's reliability and support team. Pros It makes easy to communicate between HR and the employees, handling things like hours or PTO is handled directly in the app and it makes it seem easy and not a hassle. Cons The phone support can take some time to get you, the email is a bit easier to get a hand of, but still takes some time to get some support. The ease of use between entry and mid-level managers from restaurants to our corporate office is also really intuitive. Cons UKG Pro does not seem to have a support team that is scalable to meet the needs of administers like myself who often ran into issues with features of UKG Pro, such as UKG Pro Learning, which is their digital LMS platform. While I appreciate that they have a support specialist team to communicate updates or give you a timeframe on how long it will take to research an item, it takes awhile. UKG Pro also seems to have an outdated user face. Everything is there in the dropdowns to pick where you need go and view. Pros UKG is a pretty easy to navigate utility, especially when it comes to tracking pay and benefits. Having everything in one app is super convenient. Cons I don't think there's much to not like about this unless it's not setup correctly, but that should be addressed on implementation. We have been with the platform for two years, and have been happy with it. Just wish I had more time in the day to truly customize the platform more. Pros The platform is overall easy to use for both end users for both the app and web versions. I prefer UKG Pro over UKG Ready for general layout, navigation, and overall structure. UKG Pro also offers more customization when compared to top vendors (ADP, all of the Pays, etc.). The support team is also responsive in a timely manner. Cons The mobile app needs to be updated to include more features, for example, document acknowledgment. There are many end users who primarily use their mobile phones and will not use a computer; it is critical for the mobile app to provide all of the same options as the online version. Having to direct hundreds of employees to the web browsers when they use the mobile app is time-consuming and extremely confusing for end users.
