Entrepreneurs, freelancers, small businesses (1-99 employees), and groups inside large organizations.
Small to Medium-sized businesses that want to increase productivity. Common types of such businesses we encounter are in Digital Media, Marketing, Web Agencies, Consulting, Freelancers
It's very effective and provides a variety of built-in solutions which enhance team communication and expands productivity. It has awesome customer support service and is easy to work with.
The only negative on this product we found is the lack of some features on all versions.
Basecamp is a great task management system that allows for great visibility for the team on where tasks and projects are at. The ease of use is the main sale for us.
Different versions of Basecamp is complicating things, thats my only complaint that i have.
The strength of Basecamp is in its simplicity. It's not overloaded with features, which helps everyone to focus on what's important and sync everybody up, be it a retro meeting, roadmap or project.
There is no way for me to delete an inappropriate comment from a parent.
I loved based camp because it made my departments project management easier. It is a good solution for creative and marketers and also developers.
It was a very bad experience and we had to change the product.
I love the ease of assigning projects and recycling them for later uses. I also love the ease of communicating with my team via each task.
Initially, some of my students complained that they receive notifications too often and they did not seem to have a way to opt out could I realize the error was on my part.
The ease of customization is great. Being able to selectively add clients to access just their projects or certain functions on their project is great.
The customer service is soooo bad. Go to their facebook page and see what they do to people who give them a negative review.
My overall experience with Freedcamp has been very positive. The software is good, the company is continually making improvements, and customer support has been helpful.
Lack of support in Android Platform. They have a tie-in mobile app but it's limited on features.
We are very pleased and thankful for the free version Freedcamp provides for non profit organizations.
It's a tiny quibble that I hesitate even to mention here.
Reelika S.: Hi, I am Reelika from Design Dream Lifestyle. I'm a business strategist and coach, and I would give Basecamp five stars. Before using Basecamp, we really were just using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, but the problem we ran into was the collaboration and the teamwork. Basecamp allowed us to collaborate virtually with our team from across the globe and to get the projects done. We chose Basecamp because we were looking for a software that would allow us to collaborate to work across the globe on different projects. For example, content management, virtual workshops, in-person workshops, and that software allowed us to spread out all the tasks while also keeping an eye on what's already done and what still needs to be accomplished. When we started with Basecamp, we took a look at the tutorials. And I have to say they were very straightforward, very easy to follow. There really is no room to make any mistakes. And you don't need a high-tech knowledge for that, so anybody can really use this. If you're thinking about using Basecamp, give it a try because if you have a team, especially virtually, that has different projects going on and you need to delegate, and you want to keep eye on what's already done and what still needs to be accomplished, that is a really good tool for that.
Ilyas A.: Hi, my name is Ilyas. I'm an accounts administrator here at Stylus Marketing, and I rate Freedcamp five out of five. So before I was using Freedcamp, I was managing my business on Skype, WhatsApp and group chats and those, and it was hard to track everything, hard to keep everything, to manage everything based on that. So that's why Freedcamp really helped with this calendar system, with its tasks and its projects. Everything is organized and integrated and it's easier to manage now. So one of our team members actually referred Freedcamp to us. They told us that they use that for their business, so they wanted to refer to us, tell us it would be a good software for our business because it was pretty similar industries. So we started using Freedcamp based on that and from there, it was pretty easy. In the beginning, it took not too long to start using Freedcamp. We just started getting used to the tools and learning more about what we can use and what it offers. But once we got everything set up, then it was pretty easy to use, and it was a little bit hard getting our team members used to it. Freedcamp also offers a chat option where we could have our group chats for different categories in our business. So getting people onto that chat and messaging there and updating Freedcamp constantly was a little hard to at least manage them. But now we're working perfectly. Everyone's streamlined and everyone's working quickly and easily on Freedcamp. Just about learning how you want to organize your software. If you're getting into Freedcamp, all your projects and tasks, you have to figure out beforehand what each project and task is going to be about and how you're going to set it up so that you don't have to change it later on in the future because it is just about how you want to structure and organize your business on Freedcamp. Other than that, it's fairly simple. It's very easy and easy to use and it's easy to understand. You understand it right away. Everything's easy, so it's not too hard. Plus, I would recommend it, obviously, 'cause it's free. There are paid programs, but if you can manage your whole business using the free program.
