We love the texting with ClearDent as well as the customization we can do when it comes to scheduling. The ease of scanning documents and uploading x-rays is wonderful.
The charting of restorations , is a bit annoying, as it charts it in the worst case scenario which rarely happens for buccal fillings etc.
I have been using Cleardent for over 15years and it is very user friendly but the best is the support staff, I use it to the extreme. I call for assistance and love the call back program.
Some choices are missing for example I cannot enter a supernumery tooth or where tooth has had a trauma or fracture.
The support team is very, very good and generally quite responsive. The product itself is easy to maintain from an IT perspective.
The texting tends to stop working, sometimes multiple times in a week. This would have to be the most frustrating issue that arises.
We are just starting to go paperless and I think that this software has lots of good features that we have not even started to use. We will be happy when we are using it to it's full capacity.

Also setting up the printing options for treatment plans is confusing and my defaults often are lost, possibly because we have multiple servers.
We are a Medical/Dental clinic, so we integrate with an EHR for our billing and appointments which is seamless with the help of support. Supports knowledge is very impressive.
Having a multiple location practice is difficult due to bandwidth problems on imaging. You might need to have separate imaging databases for each location.
It has wonderful features and is user friendly. Their customer support is wonderful, easy to use and can even be accessed online via chat.
Graphics are rather weak. Requiring offices to pay for the support teams and AR reports that are not intuitive is not comprehensible.
Love the design of the modules and appointment book views. Easy to bill out of, and works good with HL7 interface.
It doesn't flow very well for our office, the ledger is difficult to work out of, and running reports is a major pain.
