Shreshthi M.: Hi, my name is Shreshthi, and I work as an HRIS manager. I am going to review Laserfiche today, and my rating for that software is four out of five. For more reviews like this, please click below. So my company got an HRIS software just five years ago. And before that we didn't have any place to store our employee paperwork, so we were storing them manually. And then it was taking up a lot of physical space in the office, but then Laserfiche came to our rescue and we were able to scan all the paper and store them in Laserfiche and access it as needed. And save a lot of space in office. So what I really like about Laserfiche is that the software is really easy to use. There was just no learning curve. It is as easy to use as the documents section in MS Office, which everyone uses frequently. What I also like about the software is that it is compatible with a scanning machine, so documents can automatically be scanned and stored in Laserfiche and accessed or updated as desired. When we got an HR software, it wasn't automatically compatible with the Laserfiche. That is... We were using Laserfiche to store our historical data, and then when we got the HR software, we were not able to transfer the information from Laserfiche directly into the software, so we had to engage an external consultant who was able to download the files from Laserfiche, then convert it into a format that was readable by our HR software, and then help us migrate all the data in one place. The entire process was very lengthy. It took a lot of time, it was also very expensive, so there could be some development in that area.
