ABBYY is a good product at a good price that can be offered to customers. Interest in it is increasing.
The preview does not work, there is no tool to merge several files into one, often manual editing is required.
The output is very clean, and I like that the OCR editor gives so many options to help customize and improve the output so that I can use the text in a translation tool.
The main drawback of ABBYY FineReader is the inability to view the history of document changes in your account. The second minus is that there is no tool for merging several files into one.
I like the many available languages and a large number of functions that allow us to quickly recognize significant amounts of text. There is integration with popular cloud services.
ABBYY FineReader is much inferior to Adobe Acrobat Pro.
I love that this tool lets me convert reams of printed docs into softcopies that I can save and save in my PC.
We use this tool for scanning hard copies of surveys, questionnaires, CVs and all kinds of standard documents such as contracts.
Another great feature of Smallpdf is its speed. All the operations on Smallpdf are done quickly, which can be a lifesaver for those who need to convert or compress large PDF files quickly.
Customer Service is horrible. I was charged twice and sent an email regarding the charge and found out a strange email was created and used my banking info for this account.
Functionalities are categorized better way as compared to other similar tools which do not create confusion for me as a user of small pdf. Pricing is excellent for countries like India.
Recent force landscape option to complete the eSign was giving trouble to most of my end-users, have to call and guide them to complete the process.
It's very cost effective and easy to use specially for converting small files. It has been very helpful for me to create graphs and report that are needed to be shared.
Occasionally there is an error in mathematical formulas and symbols when converting a PDF file to word or ppt.
Great; I would recommend it for quick jobs like PDF merges, and PDF conversions - especially if you want to compress the size.
This could not have been simpler. It loaded all my pages and I was able to select where to cut it off and make a new file.
Ray: Hi, I'm Ray. I'm president of a trade association. I give ABBYY Reader a five out of five. For more reviews, click below. I like ABBYY Reader because it's a very quick and easy way to edit PDF documents as well as view them. I use it as my default viewer, but I also use it to edit documents and find it very useful. What I like the most about ABBYY FineReader is the compare documents function that allows me to compare two different PDF documents without converting the documents to any other format. It highlights the changes for me and allows me to save time that otherwise I would spend trying to compare documents line by line. There really isn't anything that I would change about this ABBYY FineReader. It is the perfect solution for my business. We are in the business of dealing with legislation and so looking at multiple versions of bills, it's very important to be able to tell what the changes are. And that's what we find most useful about ABBYY Reader as well was being able to edit PDF documents on the fly.
Idan Meir: Hi, I'm Idan, Co-Founder and CEO of RightHear. We're an early stage startup in the space of accessibility with seven people on our team, and I'm giving Smallpdf the rate of four. So before Smallpdf, we were actually using different tools online to minimize the size of the PDF, to merge the PDFs together, and different manipulations on PDFs with different sources online, nothing in one place. And we were looking for a one stop shop for everything PDF that we can do in order to edit, control and manage these types of files. We chose Smallpdf for the following main reasons. One, we were looking for a place where we could have all the different actions we want to do with these types of files at one place, just one favorite link that we can save somewhere, and then go there for whatever PDF work we need to do. And secondly is for the compress. We've been very impressed by the compression of the PDF through this tool. It was, I think, better than other tools. The user experience there, and also the size that it gets us, eventually, was better. So I think that was the main two reasons why we chose Smallpdf. Getting started with Smallpdf was very easy. Very simple. It was, at first, one account that we had for the whole team, and then we added another account. So at the beginning when we had only one account, and we asked another person from the team who couldn't access, that was a bit confusing. But then we realized that each person needed to have their own account. But once you're logged in, that's as simple as it could possibly get. Very easy to understand what you can do with these files, and how to do it, and very satisfying from that. My best advice for you, if you're thinking of getting Smallpdf or not, is give it a try. You'll find very quickly that it does serve the purpose that it's built for. And my other productive, I would say, advice would be to keep it in a favorite link somewhere on your tab of the browser. That's what I've done, and that's what makes it easy for us to access it. And so yeah, absolutely. It's a great tool, highly recommend to give it a try, and keeping it somewhere handy for your day-to-day work with PDFs.
