Reports are wonderful and you are able to get all kind of important information to decide whether a client/project is interesting or not. Other of our requirements was tracking time.
This is inefficient and duplicates effort, but I need to be able to enter it in time blocks in order to be accurate.
Nice API, you can take all your data and do whatever you want with it. The request management system is pretty good.
The main weak point for us is not having the choice of unit of measure for times. Actually we base our proposals and contracts on days, not on hours.
I looked at a lot of other systems, including BaseCamp, Asana and a few others that are commonly recommended. Intervals was the best fit for what we were seeking.
If intervals allowed you to enter hours in start/stop time blocks, then I could skip the spreadsheet and have realtime feedback on my budget.
We generally use for time tracking capabilities only, which is easy from a user perspective. The reporting capabilities are good as well.
I was using this tool for two years couple of years back and stopped using due to downturn in my business.
I just love the tool because of its social media integration capability, the realistic information which the software provides is just awesome.
Often a filter is set and forgotten about then the wrong information is displayed. Don't minimize user training and retraining when using the software.
The vendor is very nice to deal with from a sales perspective, as well as with training. We are very pleased with Clarizen and will continue to use it after our initial subscription is up.
No integration with QuickBooks online Canada. No customization allowed with this tool.
But what I am most impressed with is the perpetual evolution towards great. Updates are delivered on a regular basis and deliver meaningful improvements.
The licensing model is a bit awkward when adding licenses to an existing account. The Gantt functionality is outdated.
First, their staff, friendly, helpful and fulfilling the companies position of customer success. This couldn't be more important in making Clarizen a valuable tool for my company.
On the downside, the app can be a little slow at times--mainly slow page loads or inconsistent page refreshing.

We use Clarizen on daily basis for project management and that includes our operations department, entering timecards, fulfilling tasks, and completing projects for our customers. We love the fact that Clarizen has a lot of flexibility and different ways for us to customize the software to fit various needs for all departments; not just operations, but also sales and accounting. Especially when it comes to project details, task details, costs, and project information, there's just so many fields that we can use and report on. It really gives us a lot of detail on how our projects are doing. Clarizen has a lot of functionality. It can get very complicated and there is a steep learning curve. The cost can be pretty expensive especially when you account for all the consulting work that you'll probably need to do, especially if your company is pretty complex like ours with a lot of customization and needs for reporting done by other departments.
