For time-tracking specifically, we found it better than other platforms such as Toggl. The user experience is super simple and it's got great reporting.
I have had to go back and change my entered time because of this (accidentally tracking 5 hours instead of 5 minutes). It can was confusing to find my monthly timesheet at first.
Overall, we found it very useful as it is easy to use for every kind of business so we will recommend it you as well. Both the client and team would be saved from extra expenses due to tracker system.
The cost tracking is basically useless because there is no history to changed rates, so if something changes it also changes for the past.
I love how easy it is to use and the email reminders for when I've accidentally left the clock running is fantastic. The customer service is also great.
Either it would stop tracking when I wanted it to track, or keep tracking after I paused the timer. This could be user error, as a lot of my coworkers prefer the app, however the app wasn't for me.
Harvest is a good option when it comes to basic time management and invoicing needs. It is easy, friendly and reliable to the point of becoming addictive.
It is extremely hard as a user (not admin) to see and get a summary of this time without having to manually add it all up.
Overall this is great it works perfectly and it can integrate with Asana which is so helpful. I have been keeping betting track of my time since I started using the software.
As I go I learn my mistakes and it seems I lost over 40 hrs of work because I didnt click start and well without step-by-step directions its hard to learn how to use it.

I did a lot of research and trial / error to find the best time tracking software and this is it. Perfect, well-thought out interface, works great every time, great support, and terrific reporting.
I have had issues with trying to correct a time that was entered and if it's not done just right it reverts it back to what it was before the correction. This can be very frustrating.

One annoying feature is that you can't pause sessions; you have to stop it, and create a new one. You end up with a couple of 5 second sessions.
Aleksandr: My name is Aleksandr. I am the COO of Made By WiFi, a wireless network service provider based out of New York City. And I would rate Harvest a five out of five. Before using Harvest, we didn't use any software. It was actually the first program that we used that Made By WiFi at our startup. We didn't really explore anything. We were recommended Harvest by a partner company, and we jumped right into it. We really enjoyed the pricing of Harvest as well as the simplicity of use. We had clients requesting invoices, and we were easily able to turn them around with Harvest, with very little onboarding required. It was incredibly easy to onboard and integrate with Harvest. There was little to no training required. I was able to pick it up in about half an hour of playing with it on my own. I would definitely recommend exploring your needs. Harvest is a great program, though we did outgrow it after about a year, or two once we needed deeper integrations as well as a more branded look to our invoicing and our quotes. Harvest was great for the role that it fit for us, but definitely as we grew, it definitely fell out of what we needed for the company.

Before Toggl Track, I was basically just writing down by hand how much time I dedicated to certain things, but I would get distracted, lose a lot of time. So Toggl Track really was my savior when I officially launched my business a couple of years ago. Toggl Track was a really good solution for me, because I have a lot of different activities that I do within my business at different billable rates. So being able to organize that into different clients, different projects, and different billing rates was really important for me while simultaneously tracking my time. Getting started was super easy. I am not a tech-savvy person at all, so if I could figure out how to use Toggl Track, I'm pretty confident that anyone could figure out how to use Toggl Track. I started to use it the very same day for pretty much everything, and haven't had any issues since then. If you're considering Toggl Track, I recommend giving it at least one full week of a trial within your business to really see the analytics of how much time you're dedicating to each different activity within your business. And you'll probably see some pretty crazy facts come up in your analytics about how much time you're dedicating towards non-important things versus revenue-generating activities.
