Overall experience using Jama Connect has been really good. I would definitely recommend it to my colleagues.
A bit sluggish at times. If you do not have enterprise license then it will limit the number of users who can stay logged in together.
Is amazing how well it performs. It's not a heavy application.
It is different than other document software so some people have a hard time learning it.
The major selling point was the ability to store and create your own field level data and we have taken advantage of that in spades. This alone has saved us hundreds to thousands of dollars.
If you need a requirement management tool, look no further than Contour.
I am an admin and active user and I love this product. I cant do my job without it.
The text editor can be a little difficult for a first time user and can be made more intuitive. Filtering can be made more convenient to use.
I appreciate the ability to link entries. We have FRS, development, and testing tickets all linked for product releases and it does a great job of helping organize that information.
Lack of specific examples in webinars. Lack of traceability between low-level requirements and source code.
It was like an epiphany - suddenly everything makes sense and it's really that easy to accomplish. Actually the tool supports you in collaboration and structured workflow.
Features leave the product and information about that is missing.
Overall I liked the product very much and it did grow very good in regards to modern UI over the time I used it. In regards of feature richness it had been very mature already when I started using it.
A: unfortunately there is no german speaking customer support I can explain my problems.
Good support from Intland. Documentation available and helpful.
CodeBeamer is the worst software tool ever created.
Rakesh: Hello, my name is Rakesh. I'm a product engineer. I work in rail industry and I give five stars for Jama. We tried looking at other things such as using Jira & Confluence for requirements management. We also tried using IBM DOORS. So they were limited in their feature set because they were limited in their integration with other tools and reporting stuff, which is why we chose Jama. The main reason is it integrates with other tools such as Jira & Confluence. It can be used across product management or project management and test management. It has both downstream and upstream relationships where you can do traceability across the entire project lifecycle or product lifecycle. And also the reporting for easy available format like Word or PDF or Excel makes it very handy for reporting, et cetera. Initially it looked very complex, but once you get a hang of it it's very easy when you understand the relationship, how the items work together. So once you're up and running, then it's pretty straightforward, very easy to use. It does a lot of things which you would have been doing in multiple tools. So it's all in one where you can do multiple tasks at the same time. My recommendation would be if you are very much into a requirements based company or requirements based product or project team, I would really suggest Jama because it really simplifies your traceability of requirements, implementation, execution, and traceability during user act, sometimes testing or reporting. So I really suggest using Jama.
