Overall, for a business just starting out, it was a great solution and your tech support was always really amazing.
Support is expensive and required which was a terrible point. So terrible, in fact, that I will never recommend this software to any other company I represent again.
This app is fantastic to support your restaurant sales and also will provide great visibility with its dashboard/reporting engine.
You will PAY MORE for PointOS Profesional than their competitors once you figure in the losses, stain to your business reputation and sheer aggravation you will endure with this company.

Not only a great POS for restaurants but SpotOn has the most competitive merchant processing rates in the business. Support infrastructure is the best i've ever seen.
So its more of an inconvenience, in order for my phone to ping for a an override I must logged on, so it becomes a slight issue.
Effective and in point and has tons of options for my restaurant, customer service is outstanding, back up router is a huge plus when the Internet goes down you can still be able to operate.
This definitely needs fixed. There is a back up Internet that can be used but won’t turn on unless there is no connection at all.
The reporting capability is great on the website. The customer service from salesperson to installer/trainer has been great.
Always say they will call right back and i have to call 3 or 4 times on same issue before someone solves the problem.

Prior to using PointOS XE, I was with PointOS Professionals. Before that, I didn't have a PointOS system, I was using an old-school cash register. After deciding that I needed to leave PointOS due to ongoing issues, I looked at Revel PointOS and Lightspeed, as well as Square App. The reasons I chose PointOS for the bar were because of the price matching my needs, it was fairly low price and inexpensive. The features met what I needed at the time, and they had an offline mode that should be able to function when my internet was down. Onboarding with PointOS was fairly easy. I had had PointOS Professionals before, which was also fairly easy to onboard with, at setting up the menu. Didn't really have many issues with the onboarding, my issues came in later on. My recommendations to people using PointOS for their business would be that the offline aspect of PointOS does not work very well. I had consistent and constant issues with internet connection and it being in offline mode. When my internet was out, it would not work a majority of the time, and there was many bugs or fixes if they put out a new version. There would be mistakes or things taken off, unintentionally not working, and they would have to revert me back, fix the version. It was just constant being in flux of changes and fixes.
