Project managers or teams that love quality software for Mac and iPad.
With Project, anyone can get started quickly and collaborate with remote teams anywhere.
If you are just looking for the best native project planning tool then omniplan is a great choice. As a one off purchase it offers good value too.
The worst experience with paid software in my life. UI and UX are not what you expect in 2022 and for 200 dollars a year.
The import is great also as you can take from a variety of other programs and import the data into something usable by omniplan. The gantt function is great and really helps visually plan a project.
When you drag tasks, trying to change them, etc. And there's also no way to have text near tasks with tasks titles.
The app is perfect for planning timeline of your project before the implementation starts. It allows you to define milestones and tasks in nice "bubble" view.
When time and resource estimates are valuable to your planning but other web-based services are bloated and ugly, enter OmniPlan.
You can create a barebones project plan with a simple Gantt chart, and the you can expand and add details as needed. The granularity is really one of the main strengths of this magnificent app.
I'm not sure if it's because there's just so much data that can be stored for projects, or if there is a lag in the system.
It has a range of powerful features that make it easy to create and manage complex projects. It has a great set of reporting tools that allow you to easily generate reports to track progress.
My only negative regarding this software is that it's costly.
I am about to use this software for creating reports and thankful that their customer support is very eager to help me so I can do my project and be familiar on the features of the software.
The disadvantage that I see with this software is that it requires an additional license to the Office suite. This should be in the general package.
This helps me in making simple looking data into much more creative and attractive and it looks great at visualising. Easy to use and simple user-interface.
Customization is poor and the process of the license is too much.
Use simple, the function is powerful, rich project template, can help the team to solve the examination and approval, newsletters, manage a lot of work.
Simple error in typing the dates or days of activities can lead to complications if not caught immediately.
Karan S.: Hi, my name is Karan. I'm currently working as a consultant in a cybersecurity consulting company. I would like to rate MS Project as a rating of four out of five. Prior to using a Microsoft Project, I was using another tool, which is called Planner, which is kind of the web interface based tool. The problems which I was really facing with that tool was that it was about the functionalities. It didn't really have a lot of advanced and modern features as what my MS Project has and MS Project is more widely acceptable across different companies and that's why I'm planning to use that. I'm using Microsoft Project more efficiently right now because the way the information is organized in this tool is much more modern and it's more user-friendly. It's more easy to use. It's widely acceptable for different departments. Everybody's kind of used to that. It's easy to communicate through MS Project and helps achieve the work effort more easily. So bringing in Microsoft Project was not easy in the beginning because we had to provide training to all our users who have to use MS Project. It's not at first just seeing the tool could be complex, but we had to really get through the documentations and knowledge articles to understand this tool and we had to also do a lot of user communication, planning, user training and awareness for this tool to make it widely acceptable amongst all the departments and to promote the usage of this new tool across the organization. I would highly recommend if you want to start leveraging this new tool, Microsoft Project, across organization is to start looking at the licensing and cost aspect of it because licensing can be tricky. If we want to adapt to this Microsoft licensing, we really need to start planning on how to actually assign these licenses to what kind of people because not everybody should be using MS Project and the license could be expensive too. So maybe only the affiliated people who are working more towards project planning and project management this tool can be really helpful and I would also recommend [inaudible 00:02:51] to promote a lot of awareness amongst users who are going to be using to start adapting this tool through maybe brochures or email communications and also provide them training documentations at the same time so that they will start adapting to this new tool quickly and efficiently and this can be widely acceptable.
Prioritize real-user-identified key features according to your needs to find your best fit.
