As the world's largest email sender, SparkPost enables businesses of all sizes to predict and optimize email performance by unifying deliverability analytics, email delivery and a vast data footprint.
Our product is built for developers that need a simple email API integration to send, receive & track email in their app whether using Python, Ruby, PHP, C#, Node.js or Java across multiple industries
Overall it has tied into our system great, and we have only had a few minor issues. And the nonprofit pricing is great.
They responded 6 months latter with wrong information delaying more and more the payment, but then they cut the service. It is the worse service I have ever received.
The Sparkpost team is clearly committed to improving their product, and they care about their customers. For anyone who's happy to use the API for configuration, using Sparkpost is a no-brainer.
Their response: "I'm sorry to hear you are still unable to pass the system's address verification. We have the address verification in place to prevent fraudulent charges. A bureaucratic nightmare.
SparkPost is, in theory a very nice and slick email delivery service. They offer a fair amount of free emails each month.
The product is getting worse while the prices are going up. And if they lied about past agreements, they're likely to do it again.
I appreciate the reliability of deliverability for these critical messages. I prefer to offload the responsibility of sending email from my web servers so they can do the job of hosting.
We do tend to go to spam a lot and when looking at Sparkpost, the lingo is very confusing unless you have someone who understands code.
Mailgun has a great API and ability to configure just about anything you need when it comes to sending email. Their UI is very clean and it isn't super cluttered with things you don't need.
Unlike MailChimp, there is also not the easy interface to customize messages. We have a number of issues with the emails from Mailchimp going to spam and users struggling to find them.
We use Mailgun to send to large email marketing lists because it's more affordable than many alternatives. The UX is pretty solid and the reporting tools are nice.
Absolutely WORST product ever used and support team faced, it's absolutely garbage.
Easy to setup, great docs, amazing cost and ease of implementation. The free 10,000 first email option is excellent and very competitive against other companies such as SendGrid.
Most of my gripes are simply due to lack of understanding - a lot of the software was quite technical in nature and over my head.
Mailgun is the perfect way for small startups to get their email solution up and running. It's developer friendly, customisable, and initially free; all in a clean UI.
Downtime of the systems servers can be a bit frustrating at times.
Albert: Hi, I'm Albert. I'm a web developer at a nonprofit organization in Nova Scotia, and my company has 25 to 30 staff in total, and I give Mailgun five out of five. Prior to Mailgun, I was using the default SMTP mail server inside LearnWorlds, and the problem was it just kept going to spam. Customers didn't receive the emails, and we couldn't track whether they got it or not. So we looked at several mail platforms, and based on the YouTube channel, knowledge base and developer resources, we found that Mailgun was the best choice for our particular instance of our learning management system and our website and batching platform. It was very easy to get started. Their YouTube channel covered everything, and whenever I encountered a problem that wasn't covered by YouTube channel, I reached out to their staff and they were very prompt to help me and assist me every step of the way. So before choosing this platform, I recommend watching the YouTube channel to make sure it fits your specific use case. And also, don't buy it right away, use their free trial. Every pricing plan on their platform has a free trial, so use that for 30 days to make sure it fits your business case. And then if that works, then I recommend going forward because it makes email delivery and email tracking a lot better.
