A real-time project management and accounting software for small and medium sized businesses offering a comprehensive view of clients, prospects and resources.
Creative companies, often graphic designers, marketing or advertising agencies, architects or anyone who needs to manage projects from proposal through to scheduling, time entry and invoicing.
Great reports and easy to customize to your liking. I have worked with many other industry software and Ajera is by far the best.
Hard to use, ugly, and poor customer service. Only runs on microsoft edge, will not remember your password, will ask you for permission to download and run something every single time.
Real time processing is most important to our firm, our PM love this feature. The support is also fantastic.
I do worry that Ajera will be sundowned for Vantage Point. That would make me very unhappy.
I like Ajera's time sheet capabilities, the time sheets are very easy to use for someone that does not use Deltek often. I also love this reporting capabilities.
Security design & profile is very poor. There is no way to request password reset if you login a few times with wrong password other than going to the administrator.
Client support is terrific. It's nice to know that when questions arise, you're only a phone call away from talking and understanding someone who knows the software so well.
We find it difficult to use, and difficult to have an accountant or bookeeper who will work with it.
The reporting area is excellent, with very good insights and impeccable information. Customer Service is something to highlight, respond quickly and listen to suggestions.
Lack of android app and the mobile site being a bit clunky making it difficult to work with it on the go. It's little buggy here and there when on desktop.
It's a smart, flexible and easy to use and meets our needs perfectly. Beautiful clean design - a real pleasure to use.
Yet to find something I dislike about the software.
I love how fluid and integrated it is. It took no time at all for our team to learn how to use it, and as a designer I have to say I love the beautiful design.
There is no spell check letting you know something maybe misspelt. The quoting function is a bit clunky and you can end up having multiple drafts everytime you go back to alter a cost etc.
Love how it syncs with Xero, love the upgrades, love the support service, love the product.
In the schedule view, when looking at the project portfolio, we are missing the capacity of having a bigger picture by days or weeks or months.
Victoria S.: I'm Victoria. I'm an architecture and graphic design project manager. We have 110 employees at our company and I would rate Deltek Ajera a four. We were working with kind of a slew of different platforms. We had integrated Everhour and Asana, and then we were also using QuickBooks on the side. And then, to process our payments we were using an application called Stax, and at Ajera just streamlined all of it. We chose at Ajera because it was an all-in-one. We could manage projects, we could assign different projects, we could put in budgets, and we could do timelines a lot easier as well as process payments. We could create invoices. Everything was pretty user-friendly and editable, and so yeah, it was just an all-inclusive software versus having five or six different ones. Transparently, it was pretty difficult. Ajera is kind of a monster. One thing is a thousand different things underneath that, and then it just branches out more and more the deeper that you go. But once we got most of our team leaders on board, within the multi-department set up that we had, it was a lot more streamlined. It did take a couple months for people to master it. My recommendation with Ajera would be to utilize the Ajera resources, go to the help page, go to where they teach you step-by-step how to do stuff. Don't just try to dive into Ajera and figure it out yourself because it's really not possible to see the full scope of what it's capable of without a little bit of guidance at first. So yeah, use your resources.
