Shaq M
director of ops
5.0

Shaq M.: Hi, my name is Shaq, and I work at Reading Metro. I'm the director of operations here and we use Fleetio and we give it a five out of five. We use Fleetio for three primary reasons. One is for scheduling, so that we know which driver is on which vehicle. Two is for telematics management, so it aggregates our data from our fuel cards into Fleetio, as well as it aggregates our dashboard camera information into Fleetio. Then the third one is, with Yakob Leap Management, we have our own in-house shop, and so the shop is using the data to, not the data, it's using Fleetio to stay on top of inspections and keep track of repairs, what things need to be done and so forth. It's designed in a manner, so what we like the most about Fleetio is that it's designed for extremely advanced users, so we have our own in-house developers and automation team that taps the API and does everything. So however, the front end at the UI is extremely simple, and so even some of our team member that have 30, 40 years of work experience, that wouldn't necessarily know how to use a software this complex, they're able to use it because of how simplified the UI is, and get the job done essentially. So it's a good combination for hardcore users versus just high level users. In regards to what Fleetio can improve, there is no specific particular thing we dislike. Room for improvement, I believe that they can have some more integrations with third-party developers, in regards to the selection they have with fuel cards that integrate with them is limited. The selection of dashboard cameras they have is limited, and so that really makes it a little challenging to have a full ecosystem, because you're not able to necessarily pick the best vendor or the best provider of service. You're only able to pick the vendors that Fleetio integrates with. Another one that would be helpful is just how frequently updates are released. Although I can understand that their goal is to constantly be providing, making improvements, whether it's micro improvements or major improvements, getting a notification every second or third day about minor updates is not particularly productive. What we would like is maybe on a monthly basis get a full list of all the updates that were rolled out, and then this way we can go through them systematically and figure out which ones apply to us and which ones would be useful, rather than it being a very fractured process as it is right now.
