Small to medium size business employers with up to 100 employees. Salaried or hourly employees. Pay W-2 employees, 1099 contractors, or both.
This software is not only user friendly, it's effective, cost efficient and the customer support is outstanding.
This is a terrible system with even worse support. The only reason I haven't switched systems is because of my capacity, but I will be making it a priority to switch within the next month.
Overall, Paylocity offers a good overall view of your performance as an employee and of your benefits. The interface is decently easy to use and the dashboards are clear and visually appealing.
There are no feature or aspects of Paylocity to express in a negative way.
As an employee who has to clock in and out of Paylocity, it is great. Paylocity is so easy to use and all of our information for benefits, payments, questions to ask HR are all right there.
The dashboard is TOO confusing for some people-this is NOT technologically inept friendly at all.
The product has great payroll ability, and it has been mostly reliable so far. I like that it is easy to maintain data integrity in the system, and the self-service portal is also very helpful.
It’s just not working well to record my hours worked.
Sales reporting is fantastic with downloadable reports to excel for analysis, trending to be used for purchasing and inventory controllable. Helps us determine which items are selling best.
I knew I had to do it right and saw on my dashboard that Square had this as an option. It took only a few minutes to set up and they did all the hard, icky work for me.
I like that it is user friendly, and helps keep track of all payroll cost. I think that for a small business this program is great.
I was with ADT and it was cumbersome and costly. As a longtime Square user, I looked into Square Payroll and switched.
The software is super simple to use. It is cost-effective and The reliability has proven to be great.
For me as a new business owner it kept kicking back my federal tax ID number as the wrong one. I didn't know what that was about and entered it nearly 30 times.
This saves me a step going from timecards to payroll; Square integrates them seamlessly. Most importantly, any time I have had a question the payroll team has been super helpful and available.
Missing Key Features for Small Business Owners.
Speaker 1: My name is Angela. I work for Diaco Inc. My position is accounting and HR, and I give Paylocity a rating of four out of five. Our company uses Paylocity for basically payroll purposes. We do all of our new hires. We do basically anything that has to do with the human resources side of it, as well as payroll. For me, originally when I started Paylocity, it was very user-friendly. However, I've noticed over time it's gotten humongous and there are things that I do not know how to navigate, so sometimes that's difficult. One thing that I would definitely change about it is, again, when I first started, we had an actual person that was designated to our company, and since I've been there, they have changed that person so many times. We don't know who our representative is anymore. We just basically, when we call in, we get somebody who's there because our representative is always busy. And a lot of times we're on hold for a long time. The company's just gotten really big actually, and it's hard to get quality service right now.
Sherri B.: Hi, I'm Sherri. I'm the owner of the Tavern at Trail's End, and I give Square Payroll a five out of five. Prior to using Square Payroll, I was using ADP Payroll. And we stopped using that because it was a lot more time-consuming and a lot more involved than Square Payroll. We chose Square Payroll because, at a previous company I was working for, I noticed how much easier it was to set up. So when we opened our own company, we chose it because of the ease of setup, because of the way that it was run. Everything about it was just so much easier than the ADP Payroll. Square Payroll is extremely simple to use. It's all done online. There's no setup as far as bringing it in. I integrated it with the Square system, which we have already been using the Square for restaurants, so integrating into Square Payroll was very simple. Getting all the employees set up was very simple. I literally only had to talk to a Square Payroll person maybe one time during the entire setup. I definitely think anybody who uses Square Payroll will enjoy it. It is way easier than any other payroll company I've used before. Like I said, it is simple to set up. They do everything for you. They do all your taxes for you. They do your W-2s. They set it all up. There's literally nothing you have to do on your part except enter your employee's information and then enter their hours.
