Acumatica Cloud ERP offers best-in-class accounting and business management software for small and mid-sized businesses who want to improve performance and enhance decision making with real-time data.
Having used SKM and Easy Power, ETAP by far is the most accurate and easy to use power Analysis software. ETAP library is outstanding and easy to use.
Problems with the installation, the change from test version to full version creates a lot of problems.
Etap is very useful for an electrical engineer, and is fantastic to model electrical systems.
Problem with different tap changer for parralel application. Hard to customize a TCC curve.
Customer support has been pretty good, they will assist you when you have technical questions on how to model certain things, or if the library does not have a specific model of breaker, for example.
Each version has errors that initiate new releases.
This software provides a very friendly interface and variety of tools that ease the process of design in our field. Also the customer service has always solved our questiones promptly.
Lack of some common products (e.g. cable library).
Ease of use, great dashboards, powerful technology, easy to integrate, and easy access to data.
The worst part of Acumatica is how it handles Email. System email accounts, while not a horrible idea, just don't work well.
It has very good change order management, and can provide great reports on the profitability of projects.
Very difficult to implement and costly the estimate was less than 25% of actual cost.
The system is fantastic, and because it exists in the cloud, it can be accessed from any device at any time. It's easy to use, and you can tweak it to meet your specific requirements.
The worst part of that is how the outgoing emails use the system accounts. Outside contacts end up saving these email addresses instead of the "real" user email.
The customizable dashboard feature is the best thing about Acumatica. You can basically do anything and the basic dashboard is already powerful in itself.
The integrator we selected was highly rated by Acumatica, but we felt was weak and we struggled in our implementation. Our implementation was late and over budget.
Carlos: Hi, this is Carlos. I'm a senior electrical engineer. I use ETAP. I gave ETAP a three. For more information, see the links below. Before ETAP, it was really, really hard to accomplish some of the tasks that we had for some of the clients that we had. Especially in the low voltage [crosstalk 00:00:29] studies and the eye flash and having a way to calculate all the different values required to for our flash calculations. Some of the reasons why we selected ETAP was it's very well known in the industry. They saw a lot of resources. Their customer service seems to be very, very, very useful. They tend to respond very fast. Also they have a lot of presence in most of the cities where if you are trying to find a training class or a seminar, you're always going to be able to find one. And that's very useful. But yeah. So those are some of the reasons. So the onboarding with ETAP was quite straightforward. It really didn't require much effort in our end. It was mainly just setting it up in one of the computers with the licensing, everything. So the downloading process and setting it up really didn't take too much. It was pretty straightforward. So no issues there. One of my recommendations for getting ETAP is that the software itself is very powerful. It's very, very useful. And one of the biggest advantages that ETAP has is that it's very well known and a lot of the industry uses it. And so there's no way around it. So it's a very powerful piece of software and it's very capable. So I don't see any disadvantages of having the software and using it for our flash calculations and short [crosstalk 00:02:29] studies. It's very useful for those types of applications.
Saiful C.: I'm Saiful, project accounting supervisor at Blue Team and I give Acumatica Cloud ERP a four out of five. We use Acumatica Cloud ERP to help keep track of our expenses for our construction projects on the accounts payable side, as well as keeping track of our accounts receivables and also providing income statement financials to our investors. The best part about Acumatica is the customizability, where if we need something that it doesn't have, we can request it and the developers will get that for us. One of the improvements for Acumatica could be exports that are provided for financial reports. Usually there is an issue on the Excel side where all the columns are not properly formatted. So that would be an area of improvement.
