Cloud-based library management solution that allows administrators and librarians across K-12 schools and districts track library inventory, media assets, circulation, cataloging, reporting and more.
Secondary, Primary/Preparatory and K-12 school libraries love using Oliver v5. Softlink Education also services a number of central education departments, with 30 to 2400 schools.
I like the ability to log in to my own account as well. I really like that I can search books by categories or themes - such as friendship or character change.
Fill in sections for patrons I leave 90% of it blank. The lack of organization of the program.
Follett was a good product. When our library was in it's beginning stages of being digitized this was a good jumping off point.
The deployment and backend management is cumbersome and can be frustrating.
I enjoy how budget friendly the software is, and it is easy for students to use. I also like how the cloud system updates itself.
Attempts at automating these processes have proven futile.
It is mostly easy to use, on both the back end and for students. The tabs help keep things organized, and there are help buttons if you can't find something on your own.
I cannot think of anything that I dislike about this software. Each time I use the site, I notice another feature that I can utilize in creating lessons and preparing for my students.
With Oliver we have been able to reach out users and promote our resources better. The ability to use the app on the phone is helpful.
Having multiple campus libraries makes it difficult for our students to only see or reserve the items within their own library.
We’re absolutely thrilled with Oliver – absolutely miles better than eclipse – reliable and user friendly, it’s a revelation.
Deciding which LMS to use is one of the most difficult decisions a school librarian has to make.
It is extremely user friendly and the support is excellent. Having Oliver v5 connected to cases would have to be the highlight of this program.
Some of the higher levels of features such as Acquisitions are a little trickier to master.
I particularly like three aspects of Oliver. First, I like its reliability, which I think is in large part due to its robust, platform-independent, browser-based management interface.
