I love how you can build and customize reports. I love how the software allows you to feed the informaiton in and it comes out very easy to use and summarize.
There is an limit of rows and also limits on how to combine queries. Outline features is very uncomfortable.
The Implementation of HANA is critical for reaching the next level of performance as well. SAP has very good customer service and the free education and learning resources are very useful.
I dislike the fact that sometimes the tool just fails to send the report for no apparent reason. Also you can receive timeouts on developing part when you want to save you're work.
I really like the simplicity and interactive visuals it provides. The KPI measurement is really good and real time reporting is quite useful.

Business Objects has many capabilities, for me, the ease of publication of reports is the most important.
Error messages are often hard to decipher, in terms of actionable next steps to resolve. Some better instructions during error cases would go a long way.
Tableau connector is really the top pick for me among the new features added. Knowledge base is good and the support team has been excellent in their quick response time and resolution time.
Although we receive notifications of individual errors on download sources - we didn't seem to receive notification when we had brief but complete outage on data.
Simplicity for data integration, up to 2 hours data freshness, awesome support, reliability of software.
No standard connections to have sql databases (mysql, postgres, ms sql,...) as a data source, so focus on marketing data only.
Integrations to media and data sources work like a charm, and with custom dimensions and metrics it's easy to visualise pretty much any special KPI you might have.
Besides what this tool does which is a great value addition, I like the way the tool has been designed with each component fitting logically and complementary to each other.
Kevin: This is Kevin. I'm a product owner. I give SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence rating of four of five. Please click below for more reviews. We use SAP BusinessObjects to report off of our epic. Epic is our health EMR system. We use it for reporting financial, quality, operational data in both table formats, as well as some graphical. It's a pretty robust platform that we have online that could be viewed daily, weekly, monthly, and run for any timeframe by our users. It's both by users here at our company, as well as affiliate users that use our products. What I really like about SAP is it's fairly intuitive to use, so everyone from managers, directors, doctors, clinicians, as well as techs, high level and low level, it's fairly to use. It can produce items in a fairly easy to read format, as well as exportable formats, such as Excel, can be saved easily to PDFs or Word documents. It makes nice lists, as well as mining of the data for our customers. SAP could improve upon its searching mechanism. It's searching for reports within SAP BusinessObjects is pretty poor for an end user. It's fairly inflexible as far as if you want to customize it to your specifications. That's the only downsides that I see with the product.
