Overall, When we used it it did perfect for what we needed. We are a small office and having a reliable EMR system is super important.
It takes 5 clicks to get even the simplest task completed. Functionality is Not what they promised and the worst problem yet is that it is always down or glitching.
The pathways have the greatest impact to practice/ patient communication. They can be an amazing tool when used properly.
But we also found implementation staff to be unfamiliar with the system. Incomplete and incorrect information have been very costly to our practice needing to redo many aspects of the initial build.
What I like about PatientNow is that it's an easy to use software and great features that can opt in for.
I wasn't quite ready to switch over yet until... a few days later when our 2008 windows server had a failed hard drive.
I like the ease of use and the way the schedule is set up to be very simple and appealing. It is an excellent product.
I HATE that I can't use the app - not even to see my current planned work shifts plan when I am offline. You HAVE to be online (4g or WiFi) to use it.
The UI and functions for schedule maintenance are easy to use and looks clean. The ability manage the schedule and customize without the need for help desk has improved.
Sometimes the software is difficult to use on an iPhone and I have had a couple problems switching shifts.
Layout, accesibility, ability to transfer tasks to other colleagues with ease. I also appreciate having access to all of my colleagues' contact information in order to facilitate communication.
Unsure if able to push shifts to mobile device (e.g. google calendar). On screen guides are a pain and difficult to get rid of (e.g. guides show up all the time, not just once).
I like the phone app, it is reliable and easy to view. I have found trading shifts and accepting requests for trades to be an easy process.
Otherwise i have to click on each individual to see if they are free - incredibly painful. I usually end up getting our Petal manager/scheduler to make the changes because it is otherwise so hard.

So we used a local web developer prior to PatientNow who just... It wasn't working. They didn't have sophisticated tools. They didn't have the potential to reach our customers and our patients, and PatientNow really has all the tools and resources to be able to engage with patients online, do patient management, patient retention, as well as build a top quality website for our practice. So PatientNow has a great reputation in the industry, specifically in our specialty of healthcare. So it was really a no-brainer to go with PatientNow. We had looked at some previous work that they had done for other practices and we're really impressed by the quality as well as the completeness of those websites, as well as the patient management, patient reputation that they were able to do for those practices. So that's why we decided to make the change to PatientNow. So whenever you do these large changes within a practice, if that's a website or a patient management system, these can be challenging. PatientNow has a great team that can walk you through the process. They really encourage feedback and guidance from us. So it's not just like a stock web platform that we use. We were able to provide insight and really customize what we want people to see when they come to visit our website and to see what services we offer and everything that we can provide for patients. So for anybody that would be considering making a switch to PatientNow, I would encourage them to ask a lot of questions, to really take what you need out of a website or what you need out of somebody that's going to manage your online space and reputation, to make sure that they can customize it to what you need. That way, it's not just a stock website or a stock way that patients can find you, but it's really customized to highlight and showcase what you do, the great results that you've had for other patients or for other customers or clients, and really work with the team to guide them and be a source of input for them, to customize your site exactly how you want it to look, and PatientNow has been great in doing that.
