Jackrabbit Dance vs CourseStorm: Which is a better fit?

Naomi: Hi there. I'm Naomi. I am a dance studio owner and director, and I give Jackrabbit Dance a five out of five. We started off using Google Docs when our business was very small, and that worked out okay. But as the business started growing, we got Dance Studio Manager, which was a cheaper version of a dance software, to manage your business, and it was terrible. It was very hard to use. It had all of these presets that it wouldn't let us change. So, we ended up doing almost everything by ourselves, either through Google Docs or pen and paper, which was the very thing we were trying to get away from doing. We switched over to Jackrabbit Dance because it came highly recommended. When we asked other people in our industry, it was the number one pick of the majority of other studio owners and dance teachers. And, having switched over, it has proven to be everything that people said it would be. It's super organized. It's easy to use. It has moved everything that we ever needed online, so we're completely paperless. Registration payments, roll call, sick days, everything is just online and simple. And as a business owner, once I set it up, I don't even have to run it. My administrative assistants can take care of everything because the program basically does it itself. It was an easy and a hard transition to get it started. I would say hard, simply because it asked all of the right questions. So, it did everything that I was hoping it would do and more, which was a little bit difficult to get set up because it was asking questions that I didn't even realize I needed answers to. So, we worked very hard. It was very, very detail-oriented, and it took longer than I thought it would. But once we got it set up, it worked even better than I imagined. And the staff there are amazing. Anytime we hit a snag, we didn't know what to do, we could just call them up. We got through to them immediately. They helped us immediately. They gave you a start-up coach to walk you through the process. So, while looking at it at first glance can seem overwhelming, they walked us through the process, and then we're completely just ... It was worth it because it did beyond what we thought it was capable Of doing. If you're considering using Jackrabbit Dance, I would highly recommend it. One tip would be to give yourself a good buffer time of when you want it to be up and running. We naively thought we could get it up and running within a couple of weeks, but it actually took us a couple months to dig in and get all the different layers of the system in place, so that it could do everything we wanted to do. Again, completely worth it, but you definitely need to give yourself time to do it right. Because if you do it right from the beginning, it'll do your work for you. If you don't take the time to get it set up right, then you'll end up fighting with it later.
