Cloud-based data virtualization platform that helps manage and install virtual machines through hypervisor.
Not provided by vendor
The ability to consolidate, move, and manage multiple physical instances from a single platform is extremely useful and offers great CAPEX and OPEX savings. It is easy to configure and manage VMs.
Only downside is the availability of training in some countries are hard to find. Even if you find training programs it can be expensive for the training and exam both.
Great GUI, lots of very helpful features, stability of product, very large knowledge base online and very easy installation and optimization regarding the importance of product.
Not all configuration is available via HTML5, some is only available via Flash which can be a pain in some browsers.
This software is the best in the business, I love how easy it is to navigate and deploy at click of a button.
Impossible to convert a machine to a virtual machine on the same hard disk of the local machine...you need another hard drive or network drive.
Love the ease of use and user friendly format. Use this every day to track or servers and Virtual servers and is great to show the details and alerts that arise with all our servers.
We no longer have to worry about buying new physical servers. We have 2 HPE blades chassis and 2 HPE Synergy across 4 location.
Their customer service is also outstanding. I had to reach out for an issue and I received a reply and a recommended course of action the very same day, just a few hours later.
I lost a lot of time troubleshooting a converted VM that had more than one hard disk configured.
Parallels is overall very good software for running virtual machines on your Mac. Emulation is top notch and the feature set is pretty powerful and flexible.
Caused some settings to be lost or changed for scanner and other peripherals.
I love the integrated view... being able to launch a Windows program from the System Dock on the Mac is wonderful. Instead of having to switch windows or spaces.
I tried hard to think of a con, but am coming up blank.
The ability to have the Windows OS right on your Mac laptop just like any other app on your laptop and to have multiple versions of the OS. It is truly like having another laptop with you.
It got laggy sometimes and crashed for no reason (as mac user you dont get that a lot with apple software.
Evan: Hi, my name is Evan. I'm a cloud engineer. I'm reviewing VMware vSphere, I would rate it a five out of five. And for more reviews like this click below. So before VMware vSphere, we used a lot of Redhat OpenStack, and OpenStack was a lot more difficult to manage because professional support isn't widely available. Whereas, VMware support is just a phone call away. So we chose VMware vSphere for its wide community support. The licensing cost was good when we purchased multiple products from VMware. There's a great monitoring capability. There's just the ability to see your entire environment from a single pane of glass. And it was cost-effective for us. It was very easy to get started with VMware vSphere. There's a number of labs available directly from VMware, so if you don't really understand the product there's a lot of hands-on labs that will teach you the product. So I found it very easy. If I were to recommend VMware vSphere to someone looking to purchase the product, I would say that they should consider all of the available products from VMware, other than just vSphere. There's a number of monitoring, logging and visibility applications that you can purchase. It could be expensive to purchase VMware vSphere on its own but if you look at the total package, you might see that there's a tremendous amount of value.
Joe: Hi, my name is Joe. I am an independent music producer and I give Parallels Remote Desktop a five out of five. And for more reviews like this, just click below. I used an awful lot of products, including Splashtop, and actually even tried the Windows Remote Desktop and Remote PC. All of them were a bit more wonky than Parallels, and Parallels won me over. I chose Parallels because it worked very seamlessly. In the music industry, there are two conflicting worlds, which are Mac and PC, and it really helps to work together. And it feels to me when I'm working with a colleague, that we're literally working on the same computer together. The setup of Parallels was just really simple. I downloaded it, paid for it, and I was up and running. It was great. If you work in a dual world like Mac and PC, like I do, I can't think of a better software than Parallels. It just makes your life really simple.
