Research labs, biobanks, clinical research labs, analytical testing labs, pharmaceutical, NGS, diagnostics labs, academic labs.
Tableau empowers people throughout the organization to easily ask and answer questions of their data with intuitive, AI-powered tools to make better business decisions every day.
The system is very customizable to allow labs to build it out however best suits their needs. The layout of case and sample pages is clean, easy to read and easy to find information.
There also seems to be a lot of add-ons that aren't included in packages so we had to upgrade several times before we even got started. As a small lab with limited budget, that was stressful.
Once the layout design and migration concerns were addressed, I find the system very intuitive, easy to use, and the team is wonderful to work with.
The different layers of the lab book are useless and just add confusion. Trying to fit my recording needs to the lab book was the reverse of what I needed.
It is definitely worth the extra energy you have to put into it at the beginning to set up your system. In addition, good documentation also adds value to our products.
There are some bugs in the program but if you report them to the developers they will try to fix them or at least they will suggest you a way to solve your problem.
Labcollector contains already a lot of nice features which give the final application additional functionalities and a rich interface with a lot of possibilities.
It is a bottum up program, so you need to set up first the casing, (freezers, racks in freezers, boxes inside rack, before you can add samples to a box).
I enjoy using Tableau and recommend it over other data visualization tools due to the flexibility and the beautiful visualizations that can be made with it.
Large files takes a while to load and sometimes it will crash which is inconvenient. Since there is no auto-save function, you can lose your work if it crashes.
I have nothing but praise for the product. The support, stability, and quality of visualizations are all great.
However, support is terrible for this product and some of the versions are released with a few bugs. We will likely continue to this but it is imperfect.
Overall, Tableau is a fantastic program for getting automated reports created, published, and off your plate. The visuals are amazing and the subscriptions and alert system are my absolute favorite.
Statement: the old invoice needs to be paid. So although we have a written confirmation, that the invoice is cancelled, tableau didn't cancel and now we have no money and no license.
Good software with multiple interesting features and the ability to create attractive dashboards.
The Error messaging is ambiguous sometimes. There is also limited crosstabs which I don't like.
Raju R.: Good morning, Raju, Digital Ops Manager in Walmart. I give Tableau four out of five. Business problem plus, compare the metrics between its department and to the overall market. The most thing I like about Tableau is the highlighted part, I like most. The performance with the higher value come to the top and the lower performance come to the bottom with the highlighted things. That is the must I like. And another thing, it is easy to change between the tabs. That's what I liked. It loaded very slow. And when I tried to run some report, it keeps loading, loading, loading, and I have to close, and turn in again. That's the part I don't like.
