Shepherd vs Covetrus Impromed: Which is a better fit?

I love how easy it is to use and how anyone could use it with minimal training. I love that support listens to us and helps us.

We tried a different software and it was horrible. My team was skeptical of anything cloud based and not having paper charts but now we would never want to use anything else.

I can't say enough good things about this software, it was the best choice for our start up and I know Shepherd will grow with my practice.

Currently, we have to manually enter schedule blocks such as "well visits only" or "same day sick appointments only" for every moment we are open, which is time intensive.

So easy to use, easy to learn, with new features added seamlessly without negatively impacting the clean layout and intuitive functions.

Sometimes the way it prints out for the rDVM's is not the way it looks on the screen originally and it can be confusing to read.

The spplication is Intuitive, easy to use, time saving, aesthetically pleasing, and innovative. I also like how you can use it on various technology.

The search engine is difficult to find the client or patient at times.

From preinstall preparation to use over the past 8+ years, we have been pretty happy with Impromed. You have some of the nicest tech support people and it's a pleasure to work with them.

The problems are: the program not loading modules the same, giving the blue "circle of death" constantly, delayed opening of screens and kicking out of the program during operation.

The help desk is super helpful if you need to figure out how to do something and you don't want to have to call, they even have tutorial/pre-recorded videos available for visual learners.

The help section is horrible. Having to search for "end of year" instead of being able to enter "year end" is ridiculous.

What I like most about Impromed is the ability to customize just about everything to get the software to work best for your work-flow.

Customer service used to be awful and I was ALWAYS on the phone with them, spent more time on hold than actually speaking to someone.

I love being able to easily access my patients' medical records and the ease of overall seeing what I need to be able to see in a chronologically appropriate manner.

It is also hard to change any errors with patient processing and refunds are also multiple unnecessary steps. It took me a long time to get used to impromed.
