AnyLogic models enable analysts, engineers, and managers to gain deeper insights and optimize complex systems and processes across a wide range of industries.
Simulation and scheduling solution designed to help businesses assess, predict and manage processes with designing, planning, optimization and other tools.
The ease of use of this software and it allowed me to make a beautiful agent based simulation with a beautiful and easy to understand graphical interface.
There is no specific things I dislike specially about this software package.
I loved the functionality you get for a free software and it had everything I needed to make a successful model.
AnyLogic frequently had bugs, ran slow, and crashed. The software was also was very unintuitive and confusing.
In addition to this, the software have a better advantage over the other software due to it has ease accessible manuals and books.
Personally, I did not experience any setback when using AnyLogic. However, renaming the 'boxes' can be quite a pain - you got to make sure that you select the right region.
Very clear structure for DES, good training materials (slides/example models) potential dedicated supports.
It can be a bit hard to use. Especially if you are not tech savy.
The SimBit is really good, an excellent tool for quick start. The introduction is really good.
I find there is a lack of documentation in general.
It is a good simulation software with easy to understand charts and reports. Its visuals are very good and easy to use.
Advanced functions might get hard to use if you don't have an experienced user helping you. Error messages could be more explicit and create a reference to where the configurational conflict lies.
It has improved a lot and, at this time, I think is the best simulation software. As a profesor and a researcher, my students and I take advantage of its flexibility, easy of use, and performance.
Hidden functions (hard to find functions intuitively). Lack of shared materials online (compared to Arena).
The support team are great and very friendly and over all I find the package excellent. I would certainly recommend this to others.
Sometimes it is difficult to build a logic, especially with processes.
Conor: My name is Conor. I'm a research scientist in LIRO. I give AnyLogic a five out of five. We explored a few options for doing simulations. Some of the options we previously saw were a bit too programmatic and weren't as flexible for adaptive situations and assessments of our tools. We chose AnyLogic because of its flexibility and user experience, and how it would allow us to assess our tools in a lot of different environments. We were really happy with getting set up. It's very simple using the interface and we've been integrating into proprietary technologies and workflows-
