Overall this has been great, and easy for end users to be able to submit expense reports. As well as a better ability to monitor what is being expensed.
We continually have issues and have to fight to get our reimbursements despite going through all the correct steps and getting pre-approvals. The system is confusing and constantly makes you resubmit.
We have only been live for three months. But we are already experiencing ease in entering expenses, speed in the approval process, great tracking ability and reporting.
For example, having to attach 1 receipt at a time for each expense you make and annotating it drives me nuts.
Users and admins especially enjoy the mobile features and the ability to see exactly where an expense or invoice is in the approval process.
And I don't believe the admin tool has been migrated to mercury either so you still need to go into the old site to manage anything manually or investigate problems.
Great integration with our ERP system (PeopleSoft). Nice features like Snapp App, Uber integration.
It does not allow for personal charges to be taken out of the end-user bank account.
But, with PLEO it's now kind of fun to make purchases from the company card. Our admin staff is happy, our employees are happy and we can move quickly as the high growth company that we are.
The UI contains some empty white space which bothers me a slight bit.
Beautiful interface and 1-click (almost) bookkeeping is very impressive. I save maybe 2 hour a month on reporting for myself and my teams and I don't have to keep track of my receipts in my pockets.
The fact that there is no feedback/response when snapping a picture of the receipt.
The integration with the app on top to help me manage my receipts and budget is a fantastic toolbox that simply makes my life easier.
I guess it has to be, dealing with financials and everything. But, a few more hints or a walkthrough could have made me feel a little less dumb.
Best of all is that they always take on feedback and have fantastic customer support.

With the Chrome River, we have the ability to upload all of our receipts, invoices, and quickly process all of our expenses back to anybody who needs them in the firm, so that can go from lawyers, to paralegals, for anything like travel, and it helps for receipts not to get lost and for them to be quickly processed. I really love the fact that it's an easy program to use. I love the fact that you can drag and drop your receipts and invoices in, and it makes things quicker instead of having to go through and try to find those things on your desktop. That's what I love best; saves me time. I guess what I dislike most about Chrome River would be if I'm trying to put something through and having to go through and getting accesses to other people's Chrome River in order to put something through, it takes up a little bit more of my time to have to get the permissions first, but totally understand why those processes are in place.

So we chose Pleo because several of us in the leadership team had used it at previous companies, and there we'd found it because it had been a kind of new, innovative way of doing expenses and company finances that we'd really liked and found really exciting. So we chose Pleo because it has lots of great features like really clear spending limits for employees, so you can set how much they can spend. You can also easily give people individual company cards or even virtual cards, that makes it really easy for them to spend company money in a really easy way. And also, it's extremely transparent. So it's very clear what people are spending money on, they can easily categorize that spending and upload receipts really simply and show what they've been spending money on. So it's easy to empower employees to use their Pleo card without us getting too involved. Pleo is super, super easy to get started with. We literally signed up. I think we were in and kind of up and running the same day or the next day. It was very, very quick and easy. And it's also very easy to add new users. So it's a really simple couple of button clicks to invite an employee and set up their limits, and then they're up and running, and it's very obvious how to use it. So you don't have to really train people. People can just log in for the first time, see how it works and get going. So my recommendation would be to get it. I think if you're thinking about it, it's a really, really great product. It's really simple and nothing that I've used in the past has come close to how good, easy to use, easy to set up. It is. So yeah, get it.
