The PowerDMS platform is designed to recruit, train, equip, and protect employees across their careers within public safety agencies and healthcare facilities.
I love the ease of being able to track every employee training by simply entering their assigned user ID, they do not have to be active CW users.
The training for initial setup and use is done by people who have no idea what they are doing. We literally had to redo everything we started with because of the bad training.
I liked its ease of use as a learner. It is easy to navigate to courses you need to take and take them.
Our entire organization found it clunky, difficult to access , difficult to navigate, and very much outdated when compared to other LMS/ AI-powered platforms.
An excellent LMS for both the administrator and end user.
As such, we've been unable to make use of their LMS, because it won't allow us to actually submit normal sized SCORM courses, which for our vendor can exceed 600MB/file.
The reporting features and email reminders were good.
I've NEVER heard of an LMS with a 200MB upload limit for SCORM courses, this is the lowest industry wide, that I've encountered.
I use PDMS for accreditation mostly and find it user friendly. The success community is a huge help and when I do have to contact PDMS they are helpful and quick to find an answer.
I think the people who don’t generally work off of a “table of contents” style program may have trouble, there are lots of “levels” when getting deeper into the program.
It is super user friendly. And if you do not understand or are having difficulties you can check out a webinar or reach out to the super responsive and friendly customer service people.
Downloading document in native application is confusing for end users.
I like the ease of uploading the proofs and written documentation. I like being able to track my progress.
As mentioned above, it can be confusing. There isn't a clear, or intuitive way to use this resource.
The search feature and the ability for customization of foldering down to the ability to create specific approval and review templates are great.
Sometime it is a bit hard to get the workflows correct.
Jason: Hi. My name is Jason. I am a lieutenant. I give PowerDMS a five out of five. For more reviews like this, please click below. I've been using PowerDMS for over 10 years now. Primary uses include policy management, compliance and accreditation, training management, equipment management, inventory, as well as managing our extra duty and scheduling. What I like most about PowerDMS is that it's widely used amongst law enforcement agencies here in the States and nationally. It is a very simple system to use. But despite it being very simple, you can use it in a variety of different ways to help your agency. There is an available phone app for PowerDMS. While it is great for reviewing policy and documents out in the field, I do wish it was a little bit more robust in regards to training and scheduling.
