Great product, I have all my needs of a reservation system sorted and best of all customer service has been of great and quick help, always there when you need them.
Another really bad thing is that the staff interface does not show closures and other event on a item based level which means you sometimes miss vital information in the customer calendar view.
The reports and product information are easily exported and adjustable to our requirements. The customer service is excellent and quickly responsive and to top it off, the pricing is reasonable.
It doesn’t allow to manage/assign guides. It was very disappointing and surprising to know that this critical feature was missing after spending a lot of time on learning it.
From the day we started it has been a wonderful experience and it is great for our company and our customers.
Reporting is poor and does not offer many customisation options. Not being able to assign a guide for an experience shows that this software lacks basic functionality.
It has a nice user interface for both front and back end users, good payment processing, decent reporting, and automated emails. They also have a nice little website builder if you are needing that.
We used to use a reservations system that didn't really have anything automated and left a lot of room for errors.
Mark S.: Hi, I'm Mark. I work for a company called Trekventures. We are a UK-based tour operator. My job role is sales, digital marketing, web content and development. I give Checkfront a five out of five rating. Checkfront does a whole load of automation, and as they put it, you can take bookings whilst you're having lunch, taking the kids to school, sleeping, eating, whatever you fancy, because Checkfront does it all. There are customized automated follow-ups that mean that you are not having to send out emails when someone's booked. It does it all, and puts together all the sales reports and all the different reports you need and it hands it to you neatly and well presented. To my mind, Checkfront is all about the customizability. They put their software based on activity companies as well as hotel operators, and a variety of other different companies in between. That means you can customize the software to exactly how you need it, putting in different items, add different events, all sorts of different things really. So overall, you've got full customization, be it you're a small one-man show or you've got 20 or 30 employers under you using Checkfront in various different ways. Checkfront, the things I find annoying with it are that its front end bookings platform user is a little bit clunky, could do with dressing up a bit. Other issues I've found are in terms of the speed with which they take on user feedback and turn that into actual real development. I put in a user feedback request very early on in my usage of Checkfront, it took them nearly three years to bring that into development. So it'd be great if they sped up that process and took on more user feedback quicker.
