CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check)
Cyclic redundancy check is used to catch errors in digital networks. CRCs are also run on certain types of computer storage mediums. The specific purpose of a CRC is to make sure that there are no accidental changes to data. A CRC will check the same data repeatedly to ensure that older values match. If they do, a correction is made to the data, bringing it in line with its older and correct form.
