Internet Speed Test
An internet speed test (also known as a broadband speed test) measures the rate at which data is downloaded and uploaded. The speed test accesses nearby test servers to measure the maximum speed of the device's current connection. It measures how fast the device can upload and download sample files.
What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About Internet Speed Test
Most connections download faster than they upload, due to the way that service providers have developed their networks. This is because most online activity consists of downloads. However, if an SMB sends large files by email or does a lot of videoconferencing, the business should have healthy upload speeds as well.
