Capterra Glossary

Midsize Enterprise (mse)

A midsize enterprise (MSE) is often defined as one with annual revenue between $50 million and $1 billion and/or an employee count of 100 to 1,000. Be aware, however, that different countries often have slightly different definitions for MSEs.

What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About Midsize Enterprise (mse)

An MSE has several advantages over organizations that are larger or smaller. They enjoy more flexibility than larger corporations, as they have fewer people to manage, which allows them to be more innovative in their business approach and product development. They also have more financial and organizational advantages over smaller companies. Together, MSEs employ millions of people, but individually they are still small enough to benefit from government programs, including tax breaks and favorable loan terms.
