Terabit-per-second Transport

Terabit-per-second Transport (Tbps) is a reference to ultra-fast internet speeds. These speeds can transport data at a rate of at least one terabit-per-second. At the moment, the fastest ever internet speed was at 319 Tbps.

What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About Terabit-per-second Transport

The vast majority of internet users do not need the speed that operates at Tbps. These users include small businesses. Indeed, 4G speeds typically average at 12-30 Mbps. 5G speeds might reach 1-10 gigabits per second at the high end of its range. Even businesses that rely on ultra-fast internet access to function, such as autonomous cars, do not need this level of speed.
